@HeatHawks27 Respectfully, not true. It’s not like these sports didn’t exist prior to the TV deals of the past decade. It’s the arms race that makes it feel that way but the money just goes to facilities and coaching salaries. None of the athletes (including FB) get any of this money btw 🤔

How does an AD explain to the softball, soccer or any other non-football team on campus that these moves are in their best interest? Chancellors, Presidents and AD’s all took the money over the best interest of 90% their SA’s. There are better answers out there than this

The student athlete has been completely sold out in a chase for TV$ for one sport. Just detach football into its own alignment already and let the other student athletes be exactly that. Would even save the schools millions in travel costs if we’re only looking at $

This is really fuckin awful because non-revenue sports are gonna triple in costs, so these schools are gonna start cutting them wherever possible

@ForrestLockwood I think every generation has had some variation of issues that seemed like the end of the world. Ww1, Great Depression, WW2, Cold War, inflation and spending concerns throughout, etc…. Not saying we’re great, but not singular in those concerns 🤷‍♂️
