The only thing that could come close to Interstellar in sci-fi media, in my opinion, is The Three-Body Problem... and that’s only if the adaptation truly follows the books.

Interstellar. Top 5. No question. The science and detail are unreal — the black hole “Gargantua” is one of the most accurate depictions ever put on film, based on real equations from physicist Kip Thorne working with Nolan’s team. A true masterpiece.

Best part of “Interstellar” is still the fact that Christopher Nolan spent $100K to plant 500 acres of real corn in Alberta (instead of using CGI to recreate a field).

Then, sold the corn for a profit after filming. Remains most profitable commodities trade in Hollywood history.
