One thing I’ve always wondered about Captain America wielding Mjolnir in Avengers: Endgame is why he never attempted to fly.

If lifting Mjolnir allowed Steve Rogers to access Thor’s powers, shouldn’t that include the ability to fly? We saw him summon lightning, channel its power through his attacks and use the hammer like Thor.

But throughout the entire battle against Thanos, he never once took to the skies.

Was he actually capable of flying but simply didn’t know how to use that ability, or does wielding Mjolnir not automatically give him access to every single one of Thor’s abilities?

It’s a detail I wish Endgame had explored.

Some people were born into privilege. They had opportunities, financial support, connections, and a foundation to build upon.

But I know what it means to start life with nothing attached to your name.

I know what it means to be homeless, to depend on whatever life makes available, and to keep moving even when you have almost nothing to hold on to.

I started with nothing. Last year, the little I could boast of was just $60.

I am not telling you this to gain your sympathy. I am telling you because I know what it feels like to have a dream bigger than your resources, a vision bigger than your circumstances, and a future you desperately want to believe in despite everything happening around you.

I HAVE SEEN THE PAIN, AND I FEEL THE PAIN OF MY PEOPLE.

But God showed me mercy. He sustained me, strengthened me, and brought me to a place where I can do things I once could only dream of doing.
