@bandedagllc The strip built last fall was absorbing sunshine all spring and had a higher soil temp which created a divergence in emergence. The worked soil was cooler and you caught a rain which cooled soil even more and light crust formed which caused additional problems.
@Bkitch1Bodie I’m curious how your company fits in this environment, And I also need you to explain in a few words how it’s possible to raise soil test levels by applying ounces per acre TIA
@GrainsGorilla When do monkeys start accepting the fact that it is called a “futures” market! The simple fact remains that China can over pay by 5$ a bushel and that will only cost them an extra 5 billion dollars to unlock hundreds of billions of tech trade.
For a little perspective on what we spend our money on and what is considered “expensive”……. Average American digital subscriptions per yr $1080
Average consumption of eggs and beef per yr $560. Maybe we all need a lesson in what is important!!!
@BenRiensche@BrianWillott AI is an interesting concept, will definitely add value to a lot of businesses but almost all value is equally offset with less payroll. I don’t think there is enough money in consumer’s pockets to justify the current valuations.
@GrainsGorilla I’m curious if it makes a corn bear nervous that corn is the same price as it was 2 months ago when since that time we have added 1.25 billion bushels of production
@BenRiensche Fringe acre farmers totally see what is going on, they typically deal with an adverse grain fill period like you all have this yr, that is why when you ask a fringe grower in July what his yields are the range will be 125-235. Prairie states grower will be 235-255.
@GrainsGorilla Explain to me why exactly you want to be this bearish with the possibility of a 179 final yield, entire S American growing season ahead, potential acreage battle with soy, china, and BTW perception may change on what is adequate carryout. Just curious
@GrainsGorilla@ottoscholl@GrainsGorilla you are missing a very basic point of economics, how much less corn will we use at $5 than at 4? What if there is a paradigm shift and the new is…we’ve produced record or near record crops for 12 years and we only have 2 billion bushels left??
@JerodMcDaniel@VanceCrowe We all talk about how ridiculously stupid the tulip bulb debacle was…… and here we are, what exactly are we holding, trading. The person holding a tulip bulb did have a physical asset. When is the creator of bitcoin stealing everything, I that’s out there but possible.
@sellis_1994 One thing I have determined…. You must live in a fringe state to fully comprehend what a less than perfect finish will do to a perceived great crop. The dry August east of Mississippi and the Southern Rust In the western corn belt is only recognized by those who have lived it!!
@ArlanFF101 Timestamp….. Iowa, Illinois and Indiana are all sub 200 bpa #corn yield when this thing is all over. Dry weather and southern rust are advancing this crop much too quickly.
Can someone explain to me in terms a ten year-old can understand how a $2.6 billion beat on revenue justifies a $400 billion valuation increase in market cap.
