It is great to see so many positive reactions to my concept for a new Predator video game.
A Monster Hunter type, action-adventure hunting game featuring a Yautja on an alien planet hunting down a clan of Bad Blood Predators while facing alien beasts and uncovering a hidden past.
Like so many of you, ever since I was a kid I have found the Yautja Predator to be a very interesting creature character originally created by the legendary Stan Winston @LegacyEffects. So it is a pleasure to now explore and create into this world for a bit.
In 2026 I am bringing a roundup to the preview of this creative vision with more art and insight for the concept. But with enough attention to this project, I hope we can create enough interest into making a game like this become a reality, an Ultimate Predator Experience.
Until then, here is a cover concept art I have done to fuel the call for the hunt.

@Casperaerials Great to read your enthusiasm. Yes, in its design the game would have a lot of that. The concept is built upon the Predator lore, and the many things that make the Yautja badass. Also expanding from that.
We need a new Predator video game.
With a new beginning for the Alien and Predator movie franchises, the Xenomorths have been getting extra attention in the video game department.
There is Aliens Dark Descent, Aliens Fire Team, Aliens Rogue Incursion and the upcoming sequel to Alien Isolation.
But Predator currently only has the online PvP game Predator Hunting Grounds from a few years ago.
------
So I have decided to develop a Predator video game concept from an idea that I have been keeping on the shelf for some time now. Bellow you can see the Key Visual art I did for the project.
PREY AND PREDATOR is conceptualized as a Monster Hunter type, action-adventure hunting game set in the Predator IP Universe where the player embodies a Yautja Hunter hunting on an alien planet.
After barely surviving the brutal assassination of his clan hunter pack, a newly Blooded Yautja is marked to restore the prestige of his clan and of his own name by hunting down the Bad Blood 'Predators' that butchered and desecrated his brothers.
------
Similar to a past project I did, Batman Legends, this will contain concept art, a game design & narrative overview that will show the vision for the game.
I aim to create a Creative Direction for a video game that can deeply immerse players into the Yautja culture and that embarks them on a journey of pride and honor, the art and thrill of hunting ferocious beasts and defeating worthy adversaries on a wild alien planet, and the conquering of many challenges on the path to becoming an apex predator.
A video game for the fans of the Predator.
------
As the project evolves, I will post updates and work in progress art on my Instagram account where I share behind the scenes of the projects I work on.

@trppnontriscuts On it. Like I mention on another comment, now the project is a preview of the creative vision building up to a pitch. Mainly I hope that thogught social media to show there is a high interest in this type of game for the IP.
@RogueCreate At this moment the project is a preview of the creative vision building up to a pitch. Mainly I hope that through social media, to show there is a high interest in a video game like this for the IP.
I have played Concrete Jungle, a long time ago and also as part of the research for the Prey and Predator concept. Indeed it is cool.
Regarding the Xenomorths, they are not part of the Prey and Predator story.
Also keep in mind that at this moment my project is a preview for the creative direction of such a game. We will have to see where this project leads to.
@itsPlasma06 I appreciate you looking a bit deeper beyond your first impression . Yes no AI here, only passion for the series and for the creative development of fantastical worlds and video games.
@TurmoilDozenth Yes , I have conceptualised the main character, the Yautja hunter to be highly customisable. From aesthetics, armour, weapons, tools and other. Each player to become their own Yautja hunter.
Comic Books based on Video Games are unique, as they are windows to places we once were part of. They are new connections with the virtual worlds we once explored and lived in.
Although a small comic book niche, the ones that truly capture my eyes, are the mini series that present stand out visual art styles of artists while capturing the essence of the video game that gave its identity.
From these it can be seen that they are not just a marketing tool, but also a showing of love, understanding and respect of the original creations they are depicting.
While adding extra creative and artistic value, it is the skillful and passionate artists that bring more life to the virtual worlds that captivated us, and through their beautiful artwork they take us deeper and on mesmerizing new journeys.
Their art continues to fuel and enhance the love that so many have for these worlds and inspire others to create their own.

Do you have video games that are your cozy go to when you want to relax or enjoy yourself?
For me horror games are a place of coziness, but besides them some of my cozy go to games are on the PSP.
Right now I am replaying 3rd Birthday on my PSP console, and even though it is a departure from the first great Parasite Eve game, I enjoy playing it in isolation from its prequels.
Bellow are a few more of my cozy go to PSP games that I like replaying. All of them have a world that I find intriguing, they have a good replay value, with some of the best looking graphics on the PSP, strong individual atmosphere and are filled with lore.

How to world-build like in Godzilla x Kong The New Empire.
Ever since the introduction of Kong Skull Island, the giant monster duo movies have been using a world-building technique that has been defined very well in the G x K movie.
Here are 2 key elements from its creative approach, that you can use to create the world for your movie, video game or comic book:
╼╼╼
01. Directly connect the story drive with the goal of exploration and discovery.
In the G x K movie the characters, both main titans and humans, are on a personal journey of discovery and evolution that directly pushes them deeper into the exploration of the world.
The use of this connection allows the world to be revealed more while walking on the specific path of the characters as they transform and evolve. The characters progression also impacts the world and changes its dynamics.
Example:
- Two examples of this that are found in G x K are the Jia character and Kong, which their individual personal drive has revealed more of the Hollow Earth world.
╼╼╼
02. Connect ideas and introduce new ones.
For the construction of the world the movie uses a method that I like to call Web of Roots. Here, think of the world’s structure built as a spider web made out of seed roots that grown, expand, intersect and connect with other seeds.
A seed is a story, lore or world element placed somewhere in the grand scheme of the world web while the story takes place. As it is explored and grows into a tree ( this being the creative expansion of an idea ), it can be connected with other seeds/elements and so building a world that is interconnected and full of relations.
While doing this, new seeds are planted near by, but without any growth at the moment. The introduction of these new elements enrich the world but also become available to be explored more in the future pushing forward the world-building, narrative, and lore.
This approach allows for an ever growing creative development of the world and stories. Simply put: plant > explore > extend & connect > plant > and repeat.
Example:
- Look how in G x K, the presence and role of the Iwi tribe from Kong Skull Island, has grown and expanded its purpose and connection with the world and characters.
- The same can be witness with Kong’s journey of finding his race, how it was explored and how the new discoveries have planted seeds to be explored in the next movies.
Do you miss the original Lara Croft and what made Tomb Raider games special? I sure do.
You can rest assured, as it is just a matter of time before beloved games and movie Brands return back to their roots.
While exploring new grounds for an established fictional world and product, it is important for studios to build the new content in alignment with the core pillars of the Brand’s successful Creative Identity.
When they go too offtrack as an identity, Brands enter the path of the Creative Identity Cycle which after some time will circle them back to their origins in a stronger form.

It is close to 2025 and I am still enjoying my PlayStation Portable.
I was attending Art University when I purchased this wonderful Sony console many years ago, and ever since it has brought me numerous joyful experiences and great adventures in multiple fantastical worlds.
The PSP has a very rich library of games, and at the time of its release it felt like owning a mini version of the PlayStation 2. It was amazing to have such advanced games compacted in my hands, and even thought the handheld technology has evolved a lot, it continues to feel great.
I still like its small size that makes it comfortable to hold and easy to have it in the pocket or backpack. For many years it was a companion that went with me everywhere. A true portable handheld console and a cozy companion.
To this day I continue to replay favorite PSP games and often search for new ones that I may have missed or decide to give a try. I think the PSP remains a great handheld of its generation that can still deliver good gaming time. Hope Sony will give the portable console another go in near future.
What is your experience with this great portable console or its siblings, the PSP Vita and PSP GO? Did/do you own one ? Do you still play games on it ?
Watch movies in black and white.
I am a big fan of old black and white movies. What I also like is to rewatch color movies without color.
Through this I have discovered that without the color information, a silence is placed upon the eyes and mind. It allows you to take in more of what you are watching and experiencing.
Revisiting color movies in black and white can refresh your viewing experience of those movie. It will alter your perspective and reveal new details that may have gone unnoticed in previous viewings.
Although you cannot recapture the sensation of watching beloved movies for the first time, this gets you closer to that experience. It’s a new way to appreciate something you already enjoy.
In a film history that has evolved fast, movies in black and white are not just an important mark from the past. They are windows to visual storytelling that communicate to us with sincerity.

What movie in the fantastical genre ( fantasy, sci-fi, horror, etc ) do you consider to be an unintentional or masked version of an existing video game or comic book?
For me, one of them is Ridley Scott’s movie Legend and The Legend of Zelda video games.
The similarities between the two became visible after switching between playing the games and re-watching the movie along the years. The movie is close enough to the games that I fondly call it Ridley Scott’s Legend - of Zelda.
Legend is a classic fantasy tale about the corruption of good and a rising hero, with beautiful visuals and amazing creature make-up effects that are admirable to this day. It is a great watch with a charm of a forgotten time, and it can be a threshold into darker fantasy storytelling for older children.
Fun fact, the movie and the first Zelda game were both release about three months apart, with the movie in December 1985 and the game in February 1986. Also the movie has two versions, one with the music track by Jerry Goldsmith and the other by Tangerine Dream.

I think studios need to slow down with the anime style in animations for established IPs.
The anime art style is great, but I think that its continuous use on pre-existing western IPs takes away from the identity of the worlds and brands they are depicting.
With the latest releases for the animated series/film of the Terminator, Tomb Raider and Lord of the Rings franchises, the anime visual aesthetic makes these IPs representations look somewhat generic and out of sync with the defining characteristics of their sources.
I strongly believe that different IPs call for specific visuals to truly emphasize and embody the vision of a world and narrative, and also to create an unique visual identity to the product. This is why art direction is one of the most important steps in the pre-production stage.
These type of animation shows and films need individual art styles, they need art directions that create visual personalities that are suitable, and able to deliver a impactful and unique viewing experience.
What is your opinion on this? Do you prefer these IP animations in anime styles or would you like seeing them in variant aesthetics that are more distinctive and more representative of the brand ?
