Working on some truly unremarkable stuff at the moment, like decorating the Dump event with a suspiciously lively trash can, custom background and goddamn Barry Jitters saying stuff
Wishlist Automon Arena!

The minorest of minor changes, added a "cliff" effect to the area map, so it looks more vertical
Now I should also probably make the water look like water instead of blue TV static at some point, eh?
#automon#indiegame#gamedev
Added the feature that's the most crucial for a modern multiplayer experience: the ability to make the opponent feel bad for losing by spamming smug emotes at them
What other expressions are must-haves in Automon?

Rumours say, I'm working on adding emoting to PvP battles
(I am the one spreading the rumours and they are true)
You can now BM your opponents, rub that salt in! Season them well!

Finished working on animations for various Dump outcomes. There's like 10 different ones, and some might make you exhale through your nose a bit faster than you normally would
Next up, I'll also make a custom background for this event

Continuing with animations for the various outcomes of the Dump event.
Here's one where your Automons get a... uh... the Automon equivalent of Rare Candy #indiegame#gamedev#automon
Working on creating proper animation for the Dump event. It has like, 10 possible outcomes so it's gonna be fun!
Still very much WIP but you get the idea - Automon attacks trash, something comes out

Hate reading the type chart? Yeah, fair enough
I added another way to see type interactions, just hover over a type icon and it'll give you a "good against" and "bad against" list.
#automon#indiegame#gamedev
Minor but needed gameplay change, disappearing areas now start with a 3-turn timer
Previously you could hang around a gym, preparing to fight it, then the game could just nope the gym out of existance at any time. Now you know when it's "now or never"

MORE QoL FEATURES!
When encountering a player or an NPC and trying to figure out what the hell is their party composition trying to do, you can now preview how many of each type they have, and maybe make some assumptions on what they'll pick
(and still lose)

Though One Armed Bandit didn't do well, I still check on it multiple times per week, hoping for a miracle.
It's worth it though, sometimes a review will pop up and make my day.
And sometimes a review like THIS will pop up and make my week!
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it
Added a new thing where hovering over Automons in your party will show areas where you've seen this Automon already - it's much easier to hunt duplicates for upgrades now, without having to check every area manually!

I have not perished. I was simply taking a break to do things and other stuff.
Back to the code mines now, full steam ahead!
Ran into a shiny Stranglie today, it's a sure sign of good luck ahead

Added tiny notifications when anything interesting happens in the game. For now, it just announces Player vs Player encounters, deaths and new badges. That's about how interesting things can get for now

Got weak attention span? You can speed the battles up to x2 or x4.
Got even less attention? You can skip to "1 frame per action" speed.
Even less attention? Then you're not reading this. But you can skip to battle result by clicking Skip again!

Tiny baby enhancement - event map nodes now change icons once revealed, vaguely showing what they are.
It was annoying having to mouse over revealed events to see what they are, now it isn't!
QoL features make me feel good #indiegame#gamedev#automon
