The Moon spins. You just never see it happen.

The Moon completes one full rotation every 27.3 days, exactly the time it takes to orbit Earth. Those 2 numbers matching is not a coincidence, it's the end state of a gravitational lock (tidal locking) that took roughly 100 million years to complete.

Here's how it works. Early on, the Moon spun faster. Earth’s gravity pulled harder on the near side than the far side, stretching it into a slight bulge.

That bulge acted like a brake. Each rotation lost a bit of spin.

The Moon slowed down.
It drifted outward.
It kept slowing until spin and orbit matched perfectly.

At that point, the system settled.

That’s why we only ever see one face of the Moon.
