BREAKING: Star progressive Senate candidate Peggy Flanagan clinches a resounding win in her primary and IMMEDIATELY stands up to Trump and his fascist ICE paramilitary.

The left in this country is winning and fighting back in droves...

"I think that we can have a secure border. I also think that we can have an immigration system that is grounded in safety and dignity and a pathway to citizenship for folks who are here," Flanagan said on MS NOW. "Immigrants in Minnesota and across this country are our neighbors."

Flanagan is the current Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota and she just defeated a more centrist candidate to become the Democratic nominee for Senate. Her victory is part of a nationwide progressive sweep that has corporatist Democrats and Republicans terrified. If she wins in the general, she would become the first Native American woman in the Senate.

"Every Sunday I worship in a community that looks like Minnesota," Flanagan continued. "And, you know, I know that we have been through so much. And we are not going to forget how, you know, in negative 40 below windchill, we marched 50,000 strong, shoulder to shoulder, because that's what we do as Minnesotans."

"We show up for our neighbors. And I think the damage that has been done here, you know, to the economy, the trauma that our children experienced, the loss of two Minnesotans, we can't let Donald Trump let this, you know, completely outrageous agency continue to do damage," she said, referring to ICE's brutal invasion of Minnesotan communities.

The murders of Renée Good and Alex Pretti at the hands of Trump's masked enforcers have left deep scars in Minnesota, and voters are looking for someone who will stand up to this administration. Flanagan will do exactly that.

"We can have an immigration system, but it must be grounded in safety, dignity, and a pathway to citizenship," said Flanagan. "I think we can get there. And I think we can work with folks across the aisle to get it done."

This is exactly the kind of messaging that Democrats need to embrace. Nobody is saying that we shouldn't have border security, what we're saying is that we need to treat people humanely and welcome people into this country. But Trump and his party would rather demonize migrants, tear apart families, and destroy stable communities.

We should be focused on stopping human traffickers and drug smugglers, not destroying the lives of small business owners, parents, shopkeepers, and restaurant workers who have lived peacefully in America for decades.

And Flanagan isn't just talking about immigration—

“I’m running to make sure that people can afford the lives they want to live,” Flanagan told NBC News. “I want to get big money out of our politics, and I want to fight for things like ‘Medicare for All’ so that people aren’t just paying for health insurance but actually have access to health care.”

That's a message that will resonate with voters.

BREAKING: DO IT! Over 70,000 Canadians unite to DEMAND that their government eject Trump's corrupt ambassador from the country because he's undermining diplomatic relations.

An online petition that is rapidly gaining steam calls on Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to declare U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra “persona non grata."

The document, which doubled its support in just 24 hours, demands that Carney:

1. Formally declare Pete Hoekstra persona non grata and request his removal as U.S. Ambassador to Canada.

2. Raise with the United States the pattern of conduct by Ambassador Hoekstra inconsistent with the Vienna convention on Diplomatic Relations.

3. Direct a parliamentary committee to review U.S. diplomatic interference in Canadian domestic affairs.

Hoekstra's listed offenses include "repeatedly" making statements "undermining the Canada-U.S. diplomatic relations, including characterizing the 2025 Canadian federal election as 'anti-American.'"

The Canadian people are also furious at him for having "normalized" Trump's deranged calls to annex Canada and transform it into the "51st state." He has inserted himself into Canadian politics in a deeply inappropriate manner by deploying "discourse inconsistent with diplomatic protocol."

Not only that, but he has been "linked to a Michigan-based voter identification app used by the Alberta separatist Centurion Project" and then lied about his knowledge of its use.

Petitions in Canada require just 500 valid signatures to be presented to the House of Commons, at which point the government must issue a response. Elizabeth May, leader of the Green Party of Canada, is expected to formally present the document, at which point the media coverage will explode, causing massive embarrassment for the White House.

BREAKING: HELL YES! Rep. Ted Lieu throws down the gauntlet to Trump's corrupt Justice Department and warns that ANY federal prosecutor who targets Olympian David Hearn again will be "sanctioned and disbarred."

Democrats are about to retake power and the consequences will rain down like hellfire....

"Dear @TheJusticeDept: Any federal prosecutor who tries to prosecute David Hearn again will be sanctioned and disbarred," Lieu wrote on X. "They will also be served with congressional subpoenas next term. Take your authoritarian shit and shove it."

He was responding to a new report in The Wall Street Journal which revealed that fascist White House officials have requested that the Justice Department find a new way to prosecute Hearn, who was falsely accused of vandalizing the Reflecting Pool.

The original case was brought by sentient Jack Daniels bottle, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, but she ultimately had to abandon the prosecution because there is simply no evidence that Hearn did what he was accused of. Trump was enraged by her decision, in large part because one of her office's filings admitted that the problems with the pool were caused by "hasty and botched work."

In other words, the tattered lining and sickly green water were the result of Trump hiring incompetent MAGA cronies who handed in substandard work, not the work of sinister "leftist vandals."

Of course, Trump is pathologically incapable of admitting when he's wrong. His malignant narcissism demands that he double down on his obvious lies and try to imprison an innocent man to save face.

If the DOJ does end up bowing to the White House and rekindles the Hearn prosecution, their case will collapse even faster this time around since his defense can cite Pirro's lengthy, exhaustive admission of his innocence. This is a waste of taxpayer money, but more importantly it's a historic corruption of the Justice Department itself.

People need to be held accountable. Investigate and prosecute anyone involved in one of Trump's political prosecutions!

ICE detain 19 year old U.S. citizen—use him "as bait" to arrest his father.

He was handcuffed—just for filming agents.

"They said I was abusing the 'privilege' we gave you," by recording them.

Days later ICE arrested his father in targeted operation—seemingly as retaliation.

Eric Ornelas was told the truck he was driving belonged to someone with a deportation order.

He said agents handcuffed him and told him he could not leave until his father arrived to pick up the truck.

My office has been in contact with the woman who recorded this video of an ICE agent drawing a gun on her. She is a Northern Virginia native and a mother.

While I am relieved that she is safe, the habitual dishonesty and dangerous and unjustified escalation seen in this video matches what we have seen from ICE agents across the country.

This kind of misconduct and threat of force against members of our communities cannot be tolerated.

BREAKING🚨 ICE just detained the WIFE of an active-duty U.S. soldier — forcing him to leave his military post to care for their child.

Army Staff Sgt. Alexis Jaramillo has served in the U.S. military for more than a decade. He and his wife, Maisa Lopes Eliaser, went to an immigration appointment in Alabama that the family believed would be routine as she worked to adjust her legal status.

Instead, officials asked Jaramillo and his 5-year-old stepson to leave the room. His wife was detained and transferred to ICE custody in Louisiana. Jaramillo then had to take administrative leave from the Army to stay home with their child.

He’s not alone.

An Associated Press investigation identified at least 52 parents and spouses of active-duty U.S. troops who have been detained by immigration authorities since Trump returned to office. The government does not track military-family detentions, so reporters had to identify the cases through court records, interviews and news reports. AP says the real number is likely far higher.

In Texas, Army Sgt. Hedar Turcios Juarez’s wife was detained outside a Walmart in front of their 6-year-old daughter. At least six relatives of active-duty troops identified by AP have already been deported.

Now more than 60 members of Congress are investigating. Lawmakers are demanding to know how often ICE is detaining military family members and whether the arrests are interfering with troops’ ability to serve.

Jaramillo has already been pulled away from his Army duties. His wife remains in ICE custody, and he is home taking care of their 5-year-old.
