I tried to ask @GOPLeader McCarthy a question after he decried Cuban police pickup up people in the streets.
Why does he oppose the bipartisan #January6thCommission?
A Congressional staffer had four cops pick me up and drag me from the room.
I still asked the question.
How fitting that Donald Trump defunded all of the councils in red states that would produce local America 250 events this weekend in favor of gilding statues, holding a failed concert and empty while installing a militarized swamp on the National Mall.

“WE CONTINUE TO GO BACKWARD”: Florida is second to last in the nation for average teacher pay. Although the average salary for a teacher in Florida has increased in recent years, the number has fallen when adjusted for inflation. We break down what a teacher can afford to pay on this salary in another video on our page.

“The Trump administration is demanding that American intelligence officials turn over the names of all foreign espionage targets, including suspected spies and potential recruits, to create a master list that some officials fear will be misused or compromise operations, according to people familiar with the matter.” https://t.co/g1FC3sXvJd
Desantis & Republicans run around yelling government waste - DOGE or our idiot CFO calls it FAFO.
Florida is so expensive because these corrupt politicians take your money, create a fake boogie man or issue, then in the name of "freedom" give your money to their friends. 🧵
On a video call tonight @GovRonDeSantis announced he's putting out and selling a new commemorative edition of his first book "Dreams from our Founding Fathers" tied to America 250. The books will be numbered & signed. There will only be 1,776 copies and will cost $250 ...
It appears Florida's post-Parkland ban on letting those under 21 buy rifles will remain in place after the U.S. Supreme Court declined today to take up a challenge from the NRA. Fla @AGJamesUthmeier said last year he would not defend the law & contended it was unconstitutional
The Supreme Court is staffed by right-wing partisans, but at least a couple of them still think the literal plain meaning of the Constitution means something, at least for Birthright Citizenship.
This ruling isn't a victory; it's a call for reforming 4/9ths of a rogue court.
Congress got together for a rare bipartisan bill to make housing more affordable while Trump’s war inflated the price of gas and everything.
But he won’t sign it!
Too busy with golf course renovations.
Miraculously the Supreme Court didn’t break anything irreplaceable today:
- Mail in ballots are still counted so long as they’re postmarked by Election Day.
- The Federal Reserve Bank isn’t a presidential play thing
- And Trump is still a rapist, now $90 million poorer for it

With its decision in Trump vs. Slaughter, the Supreme Court’s right wing just obliterated 91-years of precedent and gave the President power to slaughter governmental independence forever.
They want a king, not a president.
