@ontheprowl_MN There are not a lot of options that make sense. My favorite fake trade is TSJ and Green for Toppin and a 2nd round pick. Maybe sign Super Mario to fill TSJ role.
@jackborman I would add Marvin Bagley to the rotation options. Seems like he might have found a 3pt stroke last year. Nothing to get too excited about, but another warm body that has played some real NBA minutes.
@ontheprowl_MN I think it would be like Brett Favre 2.0 (with hopefully better outcome). Seems deeply unlikely, but door stay open until someone says it is closed.
@PDWolves In the Wolves favor only 3-5 starting PF jobs available (Detroit, Clips, maybe 76ers, Lakers if James leaves, and Bucks if they try). Someone might settle for 6th man for $$$, but how many of Hachimura, Harris, Kuminga, and Collins want to start and win.
@jackborman I think John Collins is someone we could only get if his market collapses and he wants to rebuild it for next year with a starting job. Happens to a couple free agents every year (Trent Jr a couple years ago).
@TimGarrisonMN I think at this point TSJ is the only sweetener left. He is best with the ball in his hands and not many lead handler touches after Ant, Ball, & Ayo. Sell high and get a real starting PF (I think TSJ is enough to get Aldama or Toppin with Green as salary filler).
@AndrewDBailey Rudy is an elite defender, "D side" of game slows down at superstar level. He is best in a system with strong point of attack/gap defenders (Wolves > Utah). Rudy is clunky (hands) & emotionally unregulated on O w/ elite rebounding and screens. HOF guy, sometimes hard to watch.
.@ezraklein: “What is, to you, the ‘rage economy’?”
@JamesTalarico: “The billionaires own the algorithms and the news networks. They have created for-profit platforms that divide us on an hourly basis — by party, by race, by gender, by religion. They elevate the most extreme voices very strategically to provoke our outrage, because that leads to more clicks, which leads to more money for them.
They are selling us conflict right into our bloodstream, and they’re calling it connection.
And I think it’s left people starving for actual community.”
@DaneMooreNBA Would love to know the defensive rating of Naz, Randle, Jaden, and JC. I think you basically have to play both Jaden and JC when Rudy is off. Entire rotation should be built with that goal.
@Delta As someone flying in the next week I especially appreciate the updates (and updates in the app) regarding when each day's cancellations have been completed. I know this process is not your fault, but the uncertainty regarding the schedule each day is the worst part.
@Twolves_PR@Timberwolves why is Wolves game not on NBA TV??? Says blackout due to local broadcast, but not on any local channel. Come on! Can it be fixed tonight or no?
@JonKrawczynski@SGLambChops Are there any open competitions in camp? PG starter or minutes? Playing time for rotation guys 8-10? 15th guy on the roster?
@JonKrawczynski@SGLambChops With the last roster spot, do you think there is something cooking we don't see (like a Kyle Anderson buyout/return) or is it hard to find the right person (guard?) who could help the rotation if needed, but will accept starting the season behind Dilly, Clark, and Shannon?
@HPbasketball I think "pecking order" issues is why lots of guys who could in the bottom 1/3 of a NBA roster are unsigned. Teams decide that the talent gap is not big enough to risk dysfunction. Josh Okogie will accept being the 13th guy, but guessing teams assume Walker will not.
@ontheprowl_MN@OutHereWriting Of the 2 years left, 2nd year is not guaranteed so I think buyout watch is a real thing. Wolves could use depth at the 1 and 5 and Kyle is one of 2 players who could provide both (Ben Simmons being the other).
