Grant County GOP put on a great Lincoln Day Dinner last night.

It was great to be among so many friends, including State Representative @SavannahLMaddox, in such a beautiful venue.

🚨The Senate just passed HB 312, securing a BIG victory for our constitutional rights by expanding concealed carry to law-abiding Kentuckians aged 18-20!

Citizens who are 18, 19, and 20 years old are legally recognized as full adults. They can vote in the elections that shape our future, sign binding contracts, join the military, get deployed overseas—and even give their lives for our country. They can start families, launch businesses, and they can own and possess firearms.

Yet under current law, these adults are prohibited from carrying that same firearm concealed for self-defense. This creates a dangerous inconsistency: we recognize their adulthood and the responsibilities that come with it in every other area, but we deny them the ability to protect themselves and their loved ones when they step outside their homes.

HB 312 would finally fix this injustice by allowing law-abiding Kentuckians aged 18 to 20 to obtain a concealed carry license that operates the same as Kentucky’s standard concealed carry license, ensuring reciprocity agreements with other states are maintained.

The Second Amendment could not be clearer: The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Make no mistake— 18, 19, and 20-year-old adults are undeniably part of the People!

HB 312 would align Kentucky with 25 other states which already recognize that law-abiding citizens aged 18 to 20 have a constitutional right to carry concealed for self-defense.

Thanks to the efforts of so many freedom-loving Kentuckians and my colleagues in the House and Senate, we got the job done and passed it. I’d like to thank Senator @AaronReed4KY for shepherding the bill through the Senate, as well as primary cosponsor @brayforky in the House.

I’m grateful to House and Senate leadership, particularly Speaker David Osborne and Majority Floor Leader Steven Rudy, for pushing the bill through the legislative process. I’d especially like to thank Majority Floor Leader @maxwellwise for doing some HEAVY lifting in the Senate, along with President Stivers who offered powerful remarks of support in committee.

Next stop will be the governor’s desk. Will he veto it? If he does, we have a Republican supermajority and can override it. Let’s keep the momentum rolling to make Kentucky the next state to abolish this outdated, discriminatory age-based ban on concealed carry for adults! 🇺🇸

As a Kentuckian, state legislator, and lifelong Republican, I am immensely grateful for two courageous statesmen, @RepThomasMassie and @SenRandPaul.

They have stood firm on fundamental conservative principles, time and again, regardless of which direction the political winds blow.

They have fought tirelessly to uphold the Constitution, eliminate wasteful government spending, and defend our freedom. On multiple occasions, they have been the only voices in Washington, D.C., willing to shout “NO!" to nanny-state government overreach.

This kind of fortitude empowered our Founders to secure our nation's liberty—and it is the only thing that can save it from the grotesquely unsustainable predicament we face.

We are $37 trillion in debt, and Congress continues to spend as if there's no tomorrow.
But, folks, there is a tomorrow, and that's the world our children and grandchildren will inherit.

Throughout the Vote-a-rama, I was working all night to stop Congress from adding to our debt.

I met with @VP and I reiterated my offer to vote for the bill—if it included a 90% reduction in the debt ceiling.

No earmarks. No handouts. Just real fiscal reform.

I wasn’t looking for favors. I wasn’t horse-trading. I was fighting for the American people and against our out-of-control debt.

Bottom line: I offered my vote for fiscal sanity. Congress chose to sell out taxpayers instead. Only once the bill is released, we will know what the true price was.

This morning, I had the privilege of attending the 2025 National EMS Memorial Service’s “Moving Honors” stop at Air Evac Lifeteam 133 in Williamstown.

The event was held to honor the memory of Williamstown Air Evac Life Team members Bethany Aicken, Gale Alleman, and James Walsh—along with 26 other honorees who will be recognized at the National EMS Memorial Service in Washington, DC this July.

Being there, surrounded by others who came to honor these heroes, was a shared moment of reflection and gratitude for their service and sacrifice.
