#b329 week 17 offered a different insight into leadership, social change and the power of story telling has really opened my eyes on the different forms a leader can take.
#b329 week 16- activist leadership has been an interesting week, a huge respect to the workers who stood up against the big corporations. I would like to think that I would have the same courage if I was in the similar situation.
#B329LeadershipChalenge considering whether to work on my own or a group. weighing up the pro's and con's. in totally control but have no support or work democratically and have group support. Hard choice!
#b329 week 15, by the far the most interesting week. prior I would have considered resistance leadership to be disruptive, whereas now I see it is the resister who make the world a better place.#standupforwhatyoubelievein The only constant is change.
#B329LeadershipChallenge definitely feeling nervous about this final project. Not sure where to start! I'm torn between zero hour contracts or the treatment of unvaccinated employees, not even sure if either of these fit the brief.
#B329 positive-sum leadership, really enjoyed this week. It has made me consider decisions that have been made in my organisation. Being a leader myself I know first hand how trying to keep all parties happy always results in a better outcome. Only use the boss card when needed!
#b329 another good week, really interesting especially considering all the focus around the NHS currently. Block 2 is definitely shaping up to provide real leadership advice that I can use within my career.
#b329 Week 10- follower-centred leadership. Coming from a production environment I know first hand the power people can have when influencing decisions, that connection between leaders/followers is key, especially in certain working environments.
#B329 week 9, review the case study I can't help think the diversity promotion is nothing more then positive discrimination. You shouldn't need to tell everyone you are doing something good. self praise is no praise.
#b329 week 9 Kochan view on leadership is best view in my opinion. You can't beat the strength of teamwork. When we provide a workplace that promotes inclusion of all levels, problems get solved. speaking as an ex-operator, you can't fix everything from behind a desk
#b329 been super busy so a little behind! However really enjoying week 7. Love the comment, who you are, doesn’t define who you can be. Constantly push to create a better version of yourself. Each day we have an opportunity to be better then the day before.
#b329 wow what an interesting week, week 5 was. A little nervous about the interview first of all, but I gave it my all and enjoyed writing my first blog. #trysomethingnew
#b329 understanding the difference in cultural leadership is the key to gaining followship. Not just through influence but through respect of different cultures. Multi-diverse workforces create growth on many levels.
Populist leadership occurs when one group feels discriminated, which I understand. We are all equal. It needs to be about balance though, you can’t make things better for one group by making things worst for another. Otherwise you become the instrument your fighting. #b329
Populism often starts out with the right intentions, however it seems once the power is achieved populist leaders often change once they achieve that ‘elite’ status, becoming the very thing they fought against! #b329
