One month ago, I set out "An Adventure" to get myself back in shape and have some fun along the way. So I started to walk the entire distance traveled in the Hobbit! As of today, just 1 month later, I have walked 85 miles to arrive in Bree! #WalkTheHobbit

@shiny_press I really enjoy a lot of the artistic liberties. Though I have yet to have a situation where I could use it to make a whole house pull a Wizard of Oz, but that is next on the list.

[GrapeINvader @GrapeInvader]

@shiny_press I find players are very easily distracted by weather and forget to do Arcana checks to see if magic shenanigans are going on.

[GrapeINvader @GrapeInvader]

@shiny_press Ooooh, my bad, so, I sometimes have them go through a storm and think they are stumbling into an abandoned village, only to have walked straight into a demiplane, at least that was the case for a Halloween one-shot, that forced the players to defeat a horror time loop.

[GrapeINvader @GrapeInvader]

@shiny_press So, I enjoy personally using them in accordance to the way the lore has panned out, since there are a delightful many ways for Demiplanes to come into existence for any length of time. Some forever, some for day, it opens up a lot of narrative options!

[GrapeINvader @GrapeInvader]

@shiny_press I don't run into Demiplanes often in 5e content, and most of the references, in terms of what can be done and boundaries applicable to them, are in 3/3.5, But essentially players can potentially travel to created planes, rather than natural ones. Ravenloft is a set of Demiplanes.

@caffeinated_dan Not at all, it's like a harder bard off or Archery tournament arc.
