Open source 2D raster & vector editor that melds traditional layers & tools with a modern node-based procedural workflow. Apache 2.0 licensed. #MadeWithGraphite
Our development roadmap is newly updated with all the vector graphics features planned as we reach 1.0 this year, plus the big push for raster imagine editing support in 2027. Check it out: https://t.co/1aoW0MmDxs
The promised part 2 covering Graphite's biggest update ever is now uploaded. Available now in alpha, tons of new features bring #FOSS procedural #vectorgraphics ever closer to the mainstream. https://t.co/wLAroj7OgT

@dhh@theo Hey @dhh, our community-built FOSS project is precisely this. Nearing 1.0 in the next several months after 6 years in development, already a formidable Illustrator/Inkscape/Affinity alternative today and ready to deliver raster editing in 2027. We'd love to get in touch.
@theo@dhh Crucial to success is raster-vector-animation-and-print interop, the full suite. That's our approach others haven't tried: a unified graphics engine with domain-specific, artist-friendly tools for each design discipline. We've begun with vector, next year's focus is raster.
@theo@dhh Let's talk. We're a community FOSS project, 27k GH stars, 6 years in development, building the *right* architecture for precisely this end-game, Blender style but 2D. We've focused more on engineering than social media presence, so you've not heard of us yet.
We look forward to seeing you at #OpenSauce2026 this weekend! Come by our booth and learn about what we've been cooking up, grab stickers, and make plotter art to take home with you.
Merry Christmas, Graphite community! You have waited patiently and it is finally here: the Graphite native desktop app is yours to download on Windows, Mac, and Linux. This limited public release candidate build is available to download in our Discord (join via link on website).
Today we have the @GraphiteEditor devs on the show to talk about this amazing project, I think this image if it keeps progressing has the potential to be thought of like OBS and Blender. #Linux#OpenSource
