Did my PB to UB grind on the train on my commute.
Just finished my UB to MB grind. Was behind on my win and in, but made a good call and got helped by a Heat Wave crit.
Next up: focus focus climb let’s see how high we can get when the results tally.
@Daisuke0914914 Correct! That 500k is the smart phone release season.
They also documented the doubles player count of the original release on switch which had 300k+

Why are both my children awake at 5:30 again 🫠
Anyway at 5 am I found 5 Delphox teams I want to try in Champions this season so we’ll see how far we go.
MB2 this season.
Goal next season MB1 finish or Champions Tier for a minute.
I’ll skip the singles MB grind so I have more time to play Doubles. Work on converting that Fake Out pressure and keep on studying my matchups.
@Wiltank@YesMess72837 I’ve been using Colbur Sini but this team handles Gambit a lot better so that makes sense.
Cool team! Phox and Ychu are my favs so I gotta try this.
@PokeReplaysVGC You can dance by yourself but it’s fun to dance with others too.
Learned a lot and enjoy your posts.
Best to do what’s best for you and get away from toxicity. Personally I think I delete my twitter account on twice a year on average
@vgccorner@bwentyVGC For market research, and this is all public info, Paul Ruiz has a long term coaching model (check his Twitter) with a monthly rate and a longer-term commitment.
From a structure standpoint, it might give you some ideas.
@ausmacon What are the main differences you’ve noticed?
I don’t play 6v6 but I hear it’s more “vertical thinking” (more turns ahead) in 6v6 and more horizontal thinking (more possibilities in 1 turn) in VGC. I also hear there’s more hard counters/checks in 6v6, VGC is more softer checks
@lovejapanfrombr I had the SAME thought the other day. The fact that MDB can be ELITE at 6v6, 3v3, and VGc at the same time. Plus all the constant free content and team building he shares.
It’s like M2K sharing frame data back in the day and being the top Melee & Brawl player at the same time.
Incredibly smart and efficient use of AI to automate analysis of his own play data.
Like knowing your Parting Shot vs Fake Out % and tendencies, how good you are at stalling TW/TR, etc. so many learning possibilities!

Bsmiffy notes:
It felt great to go 9-0 in day 1. I haven’t gone undefeated in Swiss since Connecticut regionals in 2017, where I finished 2nd.
Reflecting back, I need to focus on my mental endurance. I noticed I tripped on my own logic multiple times and I have a lot of improvement to do. I also got a bit lucky and I don’t like how some of my games relied on that.
I think my prep this time around was very good. I had a lot of experience with my team and worked extensively into nearly every archetype in the metagame. My prep went like: play showdown, upload all games, auto-check all saved replays, then my AI agent would help me with trends I’ve been losing to. I also manually went over every archetype and typed manual notes to solidify the knowledge into my own head. For my techies, it’s a simple Agent Harness. I’d love to eventually release it open source.
Going into this tourney, I set my intention to play my game. I think I failed this in top 4 and it showed. Was hoping for the Daytona 2019 run-back against Joe but I couldn’t close the distance. Adi played that matchup very well and fully capitalized on my error.
Thank you @cocoacereal02 for the mentality coaching. That helped a lot. I felt the hunger this time around and most of the tournament I just fullsent what I believed was best in the moment.
I will be back at another tourney and will continue to focus on quality of play over number of games this season.
@vgccorner@RosebudDrive 100% on everything, including comment on dogpiling.
