Order in the court! This week AP Government students got to put their legal knowledge to the test as they performed a mock trial, People v. Taylor. After both sides presented their case, the juries found Taylor, not guilty.
Future Education majors had the opportunity to tour Murray State University. They toured Alexander Hall, sat in on classes specific to their area of interest, met with faculty, relaxed at the Wellness Center and participated in a panel discussion with current college students.
Congratulations to these junior and senior Teaching and Learning Pathway students. They passed their Education Fundamentals certification test. By receiving an industry certification approved by the Kentucky, these students have demonstrated transition readiness.
JROTC students are on the grounds of Ft. Campbell today as part of the Community Connections field trip opportunities.
We are incredibly thankful for this experience for our students, and would like to thank Ft. Campbell for making it possible!

The Graves County High School Speech Team placed 10th in the state at the Kentucky High School Speech League State Tournament at Murray State University on Saturday, March 14th. This is the first top 10 finish the team has seen since 2009.
This weekend, the visual arts program celebrated the wins of several art pieces at the KyAEA Regional Competition.
Maylei’s work has also advanced to the KyAEA All-State Art competition in Lexington!

Drive Your Tractor to School Day at GC served as a powerful reminder of the passion that runs deep in the hearts of our ag students. Take a look at our parking lot on Friday as GC ag students preserved a tradition while preparing to drive forward to after graduation!
The GCHS Speech team competed on Saturday, in the KHSSL Lakes Region Regional Tournament. Charlie Feezor was named our region’s senior division representative on the Student Advisory Board. The team as a whole finished in 2nd place overall. This has been a great season so far!
Congratulations to our Graves County High School students who participated in MSU’s Math Day competition yesterday. There were 250 students from 13 surrounding schools competing. Students participated in individual competition, and the group competition where work together.
