Now that the US is knocked out, I am formally extending an invitation to the American people to support Norway.
Why?
1: The Vikings discovered America before Columbus.
2: There are more ethnic Norwegians in the US than in Norway.
3: Next weekend we can pillage the English peasants together.
4:
The problem with Modern Day in Assassin's Creed is that its has consistently failed to get an interesting plot going since Desmond
Valhalla finally introduced a genuinely awesome plot idea with Basim being alive in 2020, and then they gave up on this story a game later.
Atp I've accepted MD is being phased out, they'll continue to include rifts and optional notes that add to its lore but its completely gone as a main focus. and I do think AC4's modern day sections being replaced with an extended Edward story in the remake is the right call, but I 100% believe you CANNOT remake AC1-AC3 without including Desmond's story, you'd be taking a core, beloved aspect from these games out that way. It has to stay.
I'd love if Ubisoft uses these remakes to expand on Desmond's story, re-write it in some ways even, I'd even be down with retconning AC3's ending in favour of the original time traveller Desmond concept that they had, which is way cooler than what we got. Phasing out Desmond would be a huge mistake!
It’s not your expression, it’s a machine given words that it uses to create a consensus of how other people have expressed it. Expression is your voice, not the voices of others serrated and dragged through a machine made to mimic your mouth. You express nothing, you forfeit your voice to allow the rest of humanity to speak for you. Here, you even say the ultimate goal is the erasure of human voices. Your “expression” leads to a lack of humanity, not a furtherance of it. Every iteration and invention of art has found new ways to allow us to culminate the human experience through sensation, but generative AI is cancer, it’s the cells of what we’ve already built spinning ad nauseam until all we “make” is what others have already made. It’s a dead end and lifeless, and goes against whatever spirit, soul, or God gave us the gift of creation in the first place.
I heard the tragic news that Vince has passed away. I still can’t believe it.
I first met Vince during his time at Infinity Ward, when he and Jason were creating “COD: MW2.” After they were forced out of Infinity Ward, Vince went on to found Respawn. When I was preparing to go independent myself, and maybe because he felt we were in similar situations, he took the time to listen to me, offered advice, and supported me in many ways. He even showed me around the studio.
Even after he moved to DICE, whenever I went to Los Angeles, we would have meals together and talk about our respective futures.
I honestly don’t have the words. It’s far too soon. This is heartbreaking.
R.I.P. Vince.
Vince Zampella has sadly passed away at the age of 55 in a car accident.
He was a co-creator of the Call of Duty franchise as well as the co-founder of Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment.
He was currently working as the head of Battlefield
Exactly why open classes are silly and should not be the mainstream conquest, rush and battlefield modes.
Rename them to Open Conquest, Open Rush or whatever and leave the OG modes with the OG class balance.
We haven’t really given up on this.
Closed Weapons should just be normal Conquest, Rush and so on.
Open weapons should be the secondary named modes. Open Conquest, rush etc.
This is the OG battlefield experience and should be the mainstream experience.
#Battlefield6's main menu needs a new UI design, and the community knows how to fix the issue @Battlefield.
The UI must be intuitive, clean and user-friendly. This looks so much better.
Nice work u/Oninyourfly 👏
