And for the record im no Veteran only a caregiver to two my Brother and our Father...may as well been 1 though!

SEC Collins, my brother and I faced some unforseen circumstances with our home which I'm presently tried to fix with the court but I put my brother in long term care for 60 or so days while I repair issue and was abruptly took off caregiver support and his disability just stopped it's been well over 45 days our payments are becoming late and I just spent 7yrs working 24/7 only getting stipend it should had been stipend x3 but nevertheless we have bills due and I done well earned or incurred labor that needs paid the fiduciary and field rep are holding payment up my brother is SMC and social security keeps erroring out

We called for motel vouchers and we're told to call a church is this for real. You all cut pay before I could get him signed into a ltc place nothing like what was explained to begin with. I shouldn't have to appeal a decision that was already agreed to?

The Caregiver stipend was supposed to be for 2 months after the Veteran either Died or was moved into long term care. We have put him in LTC I have maintained 77 months of care no respite care during that time you all allowed for 1- 8hr shift monthly I had to work 3-8hr shifts and or pay another for assistance .

@DeptVetAffairs What about the last 7yrs I wasted taking care of my brother thinking everything would work out but I should of known better. We couldn't get his overpaid child support refunded after 5yrs of double payment

As I cant even communicate with my brother for over 7yrs no pain meds unless we rent uhaul to take him to Dr in his bed I got him in long term but before I could even get papers signed you stop what 1/3 of payment i got towards total bill needed what happened to 2 months left at end that has ended up being a bald face lie because prorating the last month certainly isn't 2 months is it!

@DeptVetAffairs Caregivers are lied to I have reached the end of my Duty and the 2 months promised for pay so I can move back to or to a new means of employment has not been upheld, Field man with VA, is [email protected] ? Can any other VA rep explain the rules to him.

@SecVetAffairs Sir. It was explained 7yrs ago that at the end of caregiver duty you would allow 2 months for the entity to seek other employment not less than 4 days . Here we are getting your veteran better means of care in a more serious manner yet your caregiver team has prorated care and ended no 2 months as promised and the same with his fiduciary that's not what I signed up for you cant just end abruptly without saying thanks for wasting the last 7yrs 24/7 which honestly should had paid 9k a month instead of 3k because brain vien strokes make things impossible to do without help 24hrs a day. But when you need more help than you can do yourself let me make sure you the nurse that kept everything together gets slapped up side of head. The county fraudulently takes your house your patient gets sent to hospital then you can't find another rental to fight the courts to get your patient back so you keep your job and then any and all promised pay gets pulled too I guess everyone has a choice and I certainly hope it isn't your family that may suffer like mine has just remember everyone has choices hopefully you too will make the right ones.

@SecVetAffairs --> Thats not remotely fair whatsoever. It was my understanding at the end they still owe 2 months, I have my brother in another long term place at present time im stuck in a motel now. No one told me it was going to be like this. Just f off buddy thanks for the it

@SecVetAffairs --> His field rep with VA has told fiduciary to cut me off until further notice sir I have just accomplished 7rys of 24/7 care for my brother they cannot just leave me cut off without me finding another place for my brother and I or without me getting another job

@SecVetAffairs --> Well its been 30 days Veteran has been moved to long term facility but fiduciary has cut me off it was my understanding that I was to get 2 months of earnings at the end of care I cant get us in another rental while I fight the courts if I cant get paid. -->
