My coworker was destroyed.
New baby. No sleep.
Every morning he stumbled in at 6 AM for the early shift, gray like ash.

The manager said, "The early bird gets the worm."
I thought about this.
The worm is the reward for rising early.
So I asked: what is the worm here?
I investigated.
The worm was the morning emails.

I took his early shifts.
For one month, I rose at 4:30.
I hunted the worms.
The worms were emails.
I answered them all.

He slept.
He came in at nine, rested, confused.
He found out on day four.
He stood at my desk and could not speak.
I said, "The early bird gets the worm.
You have a baby.
The baby is the worm."
He cried into his coffee.
Allergies.

Then the office changed.
Now, when someone has a newborn, the worms are divided.
A rotation. Voluntary. Full every time.
They call it worm duty.
New parents sleep.
The emails get answered.

The manager asked what happened to his office.
I said the birds organized.

Every worm is caught by 7 AM.
Every baby sleeps.
I still rise at 4:30.
The worms are mine.

Rant

I was so happy that my Instagram growing so fast, but somehow i don't feel like sharing some of my favorite doodles there anymore.
I love seeing Zayne being loved, i don't mind people imagine themself in scenarios i drew, and i even happy if they think of Estelle as their daughter too. But what i really can't stand is when someone claims my MC as their own😭
I know it's common for characters to have similar aesthetics, styles, or appearances. That's totally fine. But seeing someone openly claim my MC as theirs right in front of me just makes me feel sick🥹

So there's this Zayne RP account that only interacts with their partner. They often share my art in their stories and tag each other. At first i thought it was adorable, i even liked their stories because i was like "aww that's cute..."
But then he shared my MC art in his insta story and tag his partner, calling her partner 'pretty princess' please... that's my MC😭
Also this morning i saw him share my DawnbreakerMC kissing pieces too. I even attached yumeship short story i wrote for that piece... Yet he tagged her again and acted like it was him kissing her and that moment belonged to them😩

What am i...? Third wheel? Their personal story writer?😭

I wrote that story for my MC. If you want to imagine yourselves in it, at least do it behind the curtain where i can't see it. Seeing someone openly claim those moments right in front of me just ughhh😭
I'm sorry. I know this sounds really petty, but i really love my MC so much, that's why this bothers me this much😭

@smoochfics One of the things that made me laugh was that they said Valko looks like a cross between Caleb and Sylus, but then called him ugly. Like, excuse me? It's one or the other. I get not all LIs will be everyone's type, which is fine, but that's still a strange take to me personally.

Second, even if the wife did help the son, it would also be the husband's responsibility since it was his actions that led to that.
