@joemichalczuk I think a key issue is each trust is managed differently. Recently moved to a wealthy part of the uk, no one I know has been in A&E for more than a few hours. Was there Monday - nurse, dr, CT, dr - within 3 hours. Even a follow up with my gp the next day. It’s a postcode lottery!
@oliverhackett@PolitlcsUK@POLITICOEurope Govt can hire, now out of work, landlords to manage govt properties and fire them when they can’t do their job properly. Means no one good at the job will be out of work!
@oliverhackett@PolitlcsUK@POLITICOEurope If done correctly (which no govt has ever done), they ban private landlord & ban mega corps from mass renting, landlords sell to avoid 2nd home tax, housing market re-calibrates and people can afford to buy homes again. Govt act as landlord briefly while people save (cap of 3 yr)
@drhingram School uniforms, esp secondary, are extremely expensive. Blazers are often branded and often £100+. Wealthy parents can replace these easily, and kids who have it harder wear poorly fitting, run down and dirty ones… and they get bullied for it.
@UKIP Abortion is significantly less convenient than any other method of contraception. Do you know how difficult it is to see a GP about anything? No one uses abortion as contraception, let alone for convenience. It’s used only when absolutely necessary.
@RenzTom My mum! Fully vaccinated, vaccinated both my brother and I, and as we are from the uk she wasn’t paid off by big pharma to do so. She got paid pennies to save countless lives.
@shortmagsmle My local cinema does some £4.99 tickets, and you’re allowed to take in your own snacks, I’ve been to so many movies since they started this
