@MinEffPodcast @GundamIsHere The term samurai varied between different Japanese periods. The proper samurai system was only established after the Edo period (after 1603). Yasuke is active between the Sengoku period and the Azuchi–Momoyama period. So, the definition in the Edo period doesn't apply to him.
