This morning we celebrated Reading! Over 100 children received their Gold Rainbow Reading Award and 60 children achieved the Spine Reading Award. As a result, all these wonderful new books by our favourite authors will be added to the School Library.📚@davidwalliams@jk_rowling
@SuffolkLibrary have a Summer Reading Challenge! For each of the six books read, children can collect a prize from the library. If you sign up at Lavenham Library, we are offering an additional prize of our exclusive “light up pens” once they have have completed book 3!📚
On Tuesday, Years 2-6 were treated to visit from the Language Leaders at King's Ely. They have English as a second language and gave the children presentations on their countries of origin. It was an inspirational afternoon, leaving us in awe of their English and their confidence

After Miss Balaam's course on Wednesday 22nd February with @ActiveSuffolk, KS2 now have regular brain breaks. The children say:

South America were geographers at Foxearth #naturereserve on Monday. Even the rain could not deter us from nature walks, using compasses and thinking of how to improve the site. Thank you #foxearthmeadows

Last week, KS2 welcomed language leaders from King's Ely in Cambridgeshire. They spoke to the children about their cultures and taught the children some of their language. The speakers came from all over the world - Russia, China, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Holland!
