This story is itching to take place on the Ffarquhar Branch. It would feel less contrived (I.E. Gordon's jobs being way too small to be considered too much), and help introduce Thomas on a more personal level.

As for the musicals, I personally don't have too big a problem with them. They would have to be slightly changed to better fit the premise of this special, but they're good otherwise. Oh, and I feel the engines can be a bit more realistic. Maybe not 1-1 with their OG basis'-
