After an incredibly challenging 2020 that saw many changes, including the cancellation of the GPSSC Fall Conference, we are thrilled to announce that we are back! For now, keep October 16 on your schedule clear and check back often for updates and conference details.
After much discussion, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the November 7 workshop for now. We hope to be able to host another event in the Spring so watch for an update in the future.

@DCSocialStudies ...so it's not as dire as the rumors indicate. However, I still feel like social studies is being devalued, which is much more difficult to quantify.
@DCSocialStudies Thanks for the link, it is very helpful. I've been hearing about social studies programs being cut across the country so I wanted to verify how accurate these rumors were. It appears, like you said, that most states still require 3-4 years of social studies....
