One thing that often confuses people when they hear my name, Onasis Rosely, is whether I’m Ghanaian. Some even get confused about my gender.

For the record, I’m a full-blooded Ghanaian with roots in the Central, Western and Western North Regions.

The Petroleum Hub Development Corporation paid a courtesy call on the UAE Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Dr Abdulla Al Mandoos, on Monday, June 22, 2026.

I was particularly impressed by the depth of knowledge His Excellency Dr Al Mandoos demonstrated on the Petroleum Hub project. It was quite obvious that he has been following our story keenly.

Even more pleasing was the firm assurance he gave that the United Arab Emirates has big plans for West Africa’s energy sector, with the Petroleum Hub project featuring strongly in those plans.

As usual, my CEO, Dr Toni Aubynn, was very convincing in his presentation on the Petroleum Hub project and the benefits it offers the UAE government and its private investors.

Such productive engagements fill me with great hope that Ghana is headed in the right direction and that our efforts to promote and develop this project are being noticed and embraced by the investment community.
