I remember back when I was $-11,000 in debt I got fired from my job because I couldn’t afford to take the bus everyday.

So I’d show up late.

I was 17 working as a “sandwich artist” at Subway in the heart of DTLA with homeless.

But being fired was the best thing to ever happen to me..

I would come to work after school just to make $15/HR

Working 5 days for 5 hours to make $300 every 2 weeks.

I would take double shifts on weekends to make up for the lack of capital.

and I realized…

This is really what people spend 10-20+ years going through??

Too much time, effort, and sacrifice was required to be able to live a life worth living.

I couldn’t justify that working a job was going to help me get a house, go on vacations, build a family..

Staying there makes me miss out on more opportunities that cost me money AND time.

To save $1,000 I would have to go through
- 1 Month of work (80H’s)
- 1,000 sandwiches made
- Washing 1,000 dishes
- Cleaning the bathroom 4x
- Mopping the floors 10x
- 5x Karens
- 2x Fistfights
- 10x Robberies by the homeless

Realistically speaking all that effort in 1 month I could have made more doing a side hustle.

That effort was equivalent to
- Packaging 1,000 products
- Talking to 1,000 customers
- Calling 100 businesses

But I make money off my own results, not time.

Changed the way I see money.
