Released in summer? Sky used this in a festive ad in the early 90s and ever since have thought of it - 'a day in December/freezing cold weather' - as an underappreciated Christmas song.
It was a privilege to be introduced to the @UKHouseofLords today. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the work of Parliament and public life over the years ahead.
@GraemeAThomson Very strange. I hadn't long moved to Berlin and was living around the corner from his old flat. Walking by it listening to new Bowie that weekend was such a thrill. Could not have imagined then feeling as low as I did on the Monday, past the tributes and media.
@rcscribbler Thanks. Haven't seen the doc. Must do.
And speaking of her hands, interesting to think it was the effects of Polio that forced her into altered tunings. Painted from a completely different pallette than rest of the scene.
If you know Bert Jansch's music well, then watching him play a stadium gig in Chicago with Bill Murray in the wings might also make you feel strangely protective and proud.

‘Few places feel as promising as the queue outside a chippy. This book ponders why…’
A one minute intro to my new book ‘Food of the Cods’, out October 12 and available for pre-order now in the usual places.
Warning: might make you fancy a chippy tea. It is Friday, mind…
Bought OTD in 1971: this was bashed as well. The last album with Sandy Denny and the justly celebrated Brit folk move: Come All Ye, Marty Groves, Tam Lin. Favourite track: The Deserter. Dark overtones enhanced by the Folk Horror back cover
@DalgetySusan@LucyHunterB I think my dad went to school with most of these folk ...
Not quite a cryptic crossword but good fun to unpick e.g. "Luggy Barr" was def Shuggy (Hugh) Barr and had big lugs. Inspired.
@LucyHunterB Could guess common instinct will be they're lackeys. But if that were true, it wouldn't have taken weeks to sort. What are the chances the facts are just sadder - folk with a fondness for numbers over ideological contortions squeezed by politicised management?
@LucyHunterB First decent post-uni job was as a lowly asst in OCEA with the clever stats & econ bods. Remember their seriousness & rigour. Not sure what this is.
Tried to buy some new duds for work, but everything failed my basic test: Would @RichardHawley wear this?
Answer for anything appropriate for 35 degrees seems a strong 'no'.
