For #InternationalWomensDay2025#ProjectCollette celebrates the vital contributions of women in the #offshorewind industry and calls for greater representation. With women making up just 18% of the offshore workforce, it’s time to change.

#Projecollette has taken to the streets of West Cumbria to find out what people think. Grateful to @CAfStweets for helping us on this important community engagement.
@MLiebreich We hope so too but there remains a massive demand for met coal in Asia - many WCM investors are there. In West Cumbria, WCM's 500+ jobs are key and the Gment will be thinking about corporate tax payments & a sizeable new export-led industrial project - even for a few years $$ in.
@MLiebreich Majority of WCM's coking coal has always been for export - its high sulphur content not suitable for UK steel. Known for years now. The golden goose then for the G'ment is the mine being a sizeable new export-led industrial project. Instead, see our Green Investment Plan Cumbria.
@Bankfieldbecky @cshannonhk It was blowing a hoolie!

@BenChu_ True - but UK’s pipeline of offshore wind projects has already reached almost 100GW up from 91GW a year ago - look at Crown Estate website and also Renewable UK https://t.co/nbN9v1zTsk
Project Collette - Plans for a 1.2GW windfarm off the coast of west Cumbria to decarbonise area and enable green hydrogen at Carlisle, Workington, and Whitehaven. It could also support a green steel manufacturing plant in Workington (or surrounds) https://t.co/I9GPBkzFpr
3/ @GreenFinCommHub@Energy4AllLtd plan to look at the community financing do stakeholder engagement @ArupUK the technical scoping. We plan to do a town hall event Whitehaven and people are contacting us offering help - thank so much. Collectively we can do this! @cshannonhk
#ProjectCollette (as in collective) aims to be England's first community owned wind farm and would be Cumbria's own offshore wind farm [in its waters and landing there] to decarbonise area locally area & for green hydrogen and green steel projects. https://t.co/8MrgiA7ygs
2/ #ProjectCollette has the potential to be genuinely groundbreaking in how it is owned and financed making a major difference to the Cumbrian economy – providing thousands of jobs to the local area and down through the supply chain.
