Looking forward to reading this! A sports memoir described as a "lyrical narrative [that] is genre-defying, refusing to adhere to conventional ways of narrating stories we carry within our bodies" is my kind of book 🤩

What did EiC @GreenMachine459 think about as she attempted to swim 40 miles in the month before her 40th birthday? Check out her reflection and journal excerpts here. https://t.co/jaFTmZ8RHr
I'm attempting to swim 40 miles between July 4 and my 40th birthday 🎉 on August 3. I've swum about 10 miles so far 🏊♀️ I don't think I've swum this much in 1 week since college (where I swam a lot more than that!).

First open water swim of the season 🏊♀️ I got tangled and almost drowned in lake weed 🌿 Also, I got out of the water with a dirt beard 🧔♂️ So, a pretty successful swim by all measures.
What we're reading now: THE LONGEST RACE by @karagoucher. And we've read all of these other runners' memoirs! What's your favorite? Which ones are we missing?

Kind of makes me want to train for and run another marathon. Maybe. Some day. [From @GreenMachine459] (7/7)

2023 was a challenging year and we didn't meet most of our publishing goals. We did, however, meet a few amazing sportswomen who shared their stories with us, we reviewed a few excellent sports books, and we're feeling optimistic for more growth in 2024 🎉
