Using a plant pallet of predominately plants native to the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains with adaptive species and contouring with mounds for deeper rooted species, the plant cover provides habitat for birds and invertebrates.

What: Install bird, bat, or even hedgehog boxes in sheltered areas of the garden.
Why: Many species, including birds, hedgehogs, and bats, use nesting boxes for shelter and warmth during the colder months.

New year, new colours in Barnet's rain gardens💧🌿
Filled with vibrant blooms and lush greenery, 1300 plants cover over 194m2 including herbaceous perennials and hardy species such as verbena, cornus and crocosmia.
The SuDS are built with walkways and stepping stones brightening up the area while encouraging people to walk through and interact.
