Valko's cancellation didn't speed up content for your mains. It slowed it down!
A breakdown of why the antis pushed back the very thing they were fighting for, with their own hands 🧵
The longer PPG drag out Valko's return, the more expensive that return becomes for them. The game lives in patches. Every new patch makes the "version with Valko" more and more outdated. Bringing him back in six months isn't "switching him back on" anymore — it's weaving him in from scratch: on top of new mechanics, on top of new content, on top of a rewritten story. But don't take that to mean he'll never come back, because his removal is a real problem for every single LI.
Now the simple logic of their own production. Gacha games always run ahead. We get the current version while they already have the next one in development, sometimes the one after that (feel free to look into this yourself if you want). There's no other way: no studio can produce content in lockstep with the player at that patch cadence, and PPG's window is even tighter than the rest of the gacha market.
Which means Rafayel's myth and everything promised before 6/30 has been in production for a long time. And ALL of that content was written assuming 6 LIs. Now Valko has to be carved out of it. Did you enjoy the result of carving him out of patch 6.0? You think YOUR LI won't take damage?
And this isn't guesswork. The threads leading to Valko are in the lore itself. A sixth LI was predicted long before he was announced — from text that was already in the game, from the internal logic and the patterns people have broken down more than once. A six-part structure was baked in from the start, as the completing picture. The people who said so were laughed at. And then those same people performed shock when Valko showed up.
And EVERY character suffers for it — please understand this already! Rafayel was the only one without a counterpart, and that counterpart is Valko. You stripped that character of an entire layer of lore!
Removing Valko didn't free up company resources for anyone's favorite. That's a misconception born of ignorance. Removing Valko tied PPG's hands. Patch 6.0 is already a finished demonstration: they cut the content → the game went to pieces with bugs → people lost photos and journals they'd built up over 2+ years (there are documented cases of this). Every future patch where scenes have to be rewritten around an absent character isn't saved time. It's newly wasted time. And when it's done in a rush, even more problems surface. It's a domino effect. Remove the foundation, and the rest of the structure collapses with it.
The antis literally voted for their mains' content to arrive later and worse. Congratulations on the "win," folks 👍
Which brings the conclusion, and it isn't about personal preference. Valko should be brought back FIRST — because he's the foundation, not an extension. Restoring the foundation makes all the content that follows cheaper and faster. This isn't a concession to fans, it's relief for their own production pipeline.
What would actually save their reputation: release Valko + a batch of content for the other LIs. That's the best move for winning back the trust of every player. And that's exactly why they probably won't do it — it breaks their FOMO economy, where everything is stretched out to keep people logging in daily.
Instead they'll most likely push out a few new cards — rushed, and of "well, pretty mediocre" quality. I doubt even the mains' fans will appreciate that.
And this is where Rafayel's myth turns into a landmine of its own. If it ships rushed, rewritten and cut down, the fishes won't forgive two things: that the myth was used to plug a financial hole, and that quality was sacrificed to do it. Their main has already lost part of his lore because of this hasty decision! And now you want him used to cover losses from the boycott? That won't fix the situation. It's a fresh slap in the face, and a fresh scandal will follow it.
They simply need to stop being afraid and start standing behind their own creative vision.
Valko is their character. Their story. Their promise from June 27–28.
Finish what you started.

@Diamondsteel69 It started with a leaker who painted Valko in a negative way before his pvs were released and I have a gut feeling they all are either on media lockdown or are trying to find the mole who sabotaged them like that (or legally investigating this)
All could be true at the same time
@aoyinlu I think it he can in theory, but in practice it requires a lot of concentration. Doing big stuff looks essy for him, but smaller details (bracelet he gives MC, his own pins and accessories) often come out muddled, like he needs more time and focus the smaller the scale is
@zayneswolfpack No 😤 he’s a smart tech boy he knows something shitty is going on, he sees all the tags in players’ statuses (I set up mine to #BringValkoBack before deleting the game) and he’s trying his best to give us signs
Now THIS is interesting. Current results from a popularity poll. Feel free to take it as well
There's obviously some sampling bias but it does give an image of which mains are supporting Valko

@loseurgutz Ngl, I’d redownload, but improve my reviews only to 3* and wouldn’t spend until he’s in the game. They lied to us once when they announced he’ll be released no matter what
There’s smth I don’t see mentioned often enough. If they decide to listen to ppl who harassed them to delete Valko, it will get worse. They’ll get more radical to demand things cuz they’ll see it works
Im rly worried about developers’ safety in that case(

@otomellie So :D my understanding comes from someone who’s friends with some gamedev guys and done some simple modding myself for other games
Currently the bugs are mostly related to appearances and animations glitching or failing to load (Caleb with Valko’s nose, hair stuff, face stuff,
@otomellie Tbf I dont know how bad the situation is, my friend who still plays doesnt get any and those I’ve seen are mostly visual and not really game breaking
And from my understanding most of them rn are hard to fix due to being tied to Valko being in code but hidden
So idk rly but hope
I need to say something, and I'm not going to be diplomatic about it.
There are voices in this community right now pushing for a class-action lawsuit against Infold from the US. I want to be absolutely clear: I do not support this. I will never support this. And I'm asking every single person reading this to think before they follow that path.
Here's what a lawsuit does:
— It turns our campaign from "players who love Valko" into "Americans suing a Chinese company." That's the headline. That's all anyone will see.
— It gives every hater, every state media outlet, and every person who wanted Valko gone exactly what they need to paint us as hostile foreigners.
— It hands Infold an excuse to never engage with us. Why would they listen to a community that's suing them?
— It destroys the cultural bridge we've spent weeks building with CN players who support Valko's return.
— And legally? Valko was never released. Nobody paid for him directly. The case has no foundation. It would be dismissed, and the only thing left would be the damage to our reputation.
And here's the thing that makes this even more frustrating: the bridge IS working.
Right now, our sisters in China are creating videos debunking what state media said about Valko and changing public opinion from the inside. One of the most popular videos already has 43K likes and 24K comments, the majority positive. CN players are doing the hardest, most dangerous part of this fight: challenging their own media narrative on their own platforms, in their own language, at their own risk. And they're winning.
That is what real advocacy looks like. Not a lawsuit filed from the safety of California.
We have 230,000+ signatures. We have charity campaigns with real-world media coverage. We have CN polls showing 69% of players would leave without Valko. We have the sealed June 29 statement proving Infold defended his name 24 hours before being forced to cancel him. And now we have CN creators shifting public opinion in real time. THAT is our case. Not a courtroom.
And while I'm here, I'm also not going to stay quiet about something else.
If you are attacking another game's characters by calling them ugly, you are doing the exact same thing the haters did to Valko. The exact same thing. You cannot say "Valko deserves love and respect" and then turn around and trash another game's designs. That's not advocacy. That's hypocrisy. And if anyone in the CN community screenshots that behavior next to our hashtags, we lose everything those creators are building.
And if you're out here saying "never trust Chinese games", you need to sit down and think about what you're actually saying. Valko IS a Chinese game character. Made by Chinese artists. Written by Chinese writers. The people fighting hardest to bring him back ARE Chinese players. Painting an entire country's gaming industry as untrustworthy because one company made a decision under pressure is not criticism. It's xenophobia. And it has no place in this campaign.
This campaign was built on three things: verified facts, visible love, and cultural respect. If your actions contradict any of those three pillars, you are not helping Valko come back. You are making it harder.
I didn't spend weeks building something real, the wolf conservation project, the charity donations, the fact-checking, the bridge with CN players, to watch it get buried under a lawsuit headline and screenshots of us doing what the haters did.
Block those people. Draw the line. Love is stronger than hate.

Honestly if they don’t bring him back EVERYONE will forever look at this, see one side sending cow shit while the other donated to multiple causes, and wonder how on earth Infold sided with the cowshit people.
If we lose everyone will forever see Infold as a villain. #valko
To everyone who is losing steam. We are not powerless in the slightest. Please accept this long term. If every official post gets flooded with thousands of comments to bring back Valko, if every launch gets boycotted (even if people wait to pull a few days) and we keep them down on the charts, if we keep the ratings low, they cannot ignore it. It’s impossible. We can have him back by end of the year or earlier.
We just need to be more organised about it. We need to all agree to be committed and relax. We don’t need hopium. We need consistency. They might remove his posts or his song. It won’t matter. We should keep count of the days, keep checking in and have fun with it.
Please stay active everyone we will get everyone together on the same page, we won’t deal with any bullshit anymore and we will get him back. I’ll talk to some people and we will cook something up.
This is just the beginning and it doesn’t have to be stressful.
