She is not a criminal. She isn't carrying a weapon. She is just an Adivasi woman fighting for Jal-Jangal-Jameen and her constitutional rights.
This is how she is being treated. There are countless others facing the same. Why is nobody talking about them??

Justice N. Anand Venkatesh of #MadrasHighCourt wonders why IAS officers alone must be given an opportunity of hearing before according sanction to prosecute them in criminal cases. "They are accused, why should they be given an opportunity of hearing," he asks. He, however, dispenses with the appearance of retired Public deparment secretary Reeta Harish Thakkar before the court since she had filed an affidavit explaining the delay in obtaining Centre's sanction to prosecute IAS officers K.S. Kandasamy and K. Vijaya Karthikeyan in connection with the ₹98.25 crore Greater Chennai and Coimbatore Corporation contract irregularities case booked primarily against AIADMK former Minister S.P. Velumani. The judge adjourns the hearing on a related contempt petition filed by Arappor Iyakkam against the DVAC officials to August 24, 2026. @THChennai Backgrounder👇https://t.co/i3RgGIGetd

ABHIJEET SENDS BJP’S FOREIGN FUNDING CHARGE STRAIGHT TO AMIT SHAH 🚨
REPORTER: Who must answer for the firing on students?
ABHIJEET 🔥: Delhi Police reports to Amit Shah. Either he ordered it or knew nothing. Both make the Home Minister answerable.
REPORTER: BJP alleges CJP is foreign-funded?
ABHIJEET 🎯: Then it is Amit Shah’s failure. If the great Chanakya cannot stop foreign money or control, BJP’s own charge demands his resignation.
Students are not criminals. They should never be met with violence for raising their voices.
@TanushreePande with me confronted Delhi Police with the questions they have refused to answer. Watch their response.
A uniform is not a licence to beat people. Every officer responsible for any unlawful violence against CJP protesters must be identified, investigated, and punished. No one should be above the law.
Power without accountability is a licence for abuse. The police answer to the people, not the other way around.

CBI COURT CONVICTS UNDERWORLD DON CHHOTA RAJAN IN CHENNAI PASSPORT FRAUD CASES:
SENTENCED SEVEN-YEAR JAIL TERM
A Special CBI Court in Chennai on Thursday convicted gangster Chhota Rajan, also known as Vijay Kadam, Rajendra and Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje, in a passport fraud case and sentenced him to seven years’ imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of ₹55,000 after finding him guilty of cheating, forgery, personation and using forged documents to obtain an Indian passport.
According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the case was registered on March 19, 2002, following allegations that Rajan had fraudulently secured a passport from the Regional Passport Office in Chennai by submitting forged documents and impersonating another individual.
The investigation revealed that Rajan applied for a passport in the name of “Vijaya Kadam” and produced fabricated documents, including a school transfer certificate, ration card and demand draft, as proof of identity, age and residential address.
The CBI said further investigation established that the applicant was in fact Rajendra alias Nana alias Chhota Rajan, son of Sadashiv and a resident of Mumbai. By impersonating Vijaya Kadam and submitting forged documents, he deceived passport authorities into issuing the passport, which was subsequently used as a genuine travel document.
After completing the investigation, the CBI filed a charge sheet against Rajan on January 22, 2004. The prosecution examined documentary and oral evidence during the trial before the Special CBI Court.
Following the conclusion of the trial, the court found Rajan guilty under the relevant provisions relating to cheating, forgery, impersonation and the use of forged documents. In addition to sentencing him to seven years’ imprisonment, the court imposed a fine of ₹55,000.
According to the CBI, Rajan is currently lodged in Tihar Jail in New Delhi, where he is serving a life sentence in another criminal case. He will continue to remain in judicial custody while serving the sentence imposed in the passport fraud case.
