Searching for words to describe the sadness of hearing of the passing of a man, who lifted so many hearts by never being at a loss, when thinking about what to say. His voice will be for so many forever entwined with the passion it carried for his beloved Plymouth Argyle...

When not at matches it was his dulcet tones that filled kitchens and living rooms, car stereos and conservatories and the fans let him into their hearts. He really is a PAFC legend, up there with past players as 'one of our own'.

Amazing day yesterday at PAFC where a statue of Jack Leslie, the first Black English professional football player was unveiled. The F.A have now posthumously awarded him the cap he was denied after being called up to play for England and then denied his rightful place.
