Although it’s important to utilize Small Business Saturday to boost sales and drive traffic, your thinking should go beyond this day of shopping. After the holiday season has ended, take stock of what worked and what didn’t; & apply it all year.

Combine #SmallBusinessSaturday with other festive events going on in your city. Offer a picture with Santa, ice carving demos and craft workshops, too. Working your way into family traditions ensures customers return for memories!

Make Small Business Saturday and adventure. Cities offered scavenger hunts last year -- getting people to celebrate their towns and shop in the process. Give customers an incentive to explore their towns -- and discover stores like yours.
