This worries me. The number of EU citizens refused entry to UK soars. You can say: this had to happen given the end of freedom of movement. But still: it creates a new reality and atmosphere in which it will be increasingly difficult to stay connected.

Really weird. Watching a 1976 drama from BBC on dvd, Clayhanger. Turns out it was adapted and produced by the brother in law of a friend of mine. Plus, just noticed, a schoolboy c. wearing a sailor hat c. 1890 has ‘ HMS Windrush’ on the headband.

@JohnJCrace Just as Ratner destroyed his jewellery brand by saying it was ‘crap’, GB has showed Europe that it is xenophobic and nostalgic for its imperial past. After a fantastic advertisement to the world of a tolerant, diverse and vibrant open society in the 2012 Olympics, we trashed it.
