@1901gennelm@mydirectdriller@hattonmark40 Mark is correct. Production has stopped in the UK but is being ramped up considerably in Poland with an additional new factory, paintshop, and research lab, meaning they are very much back and on a stand at Cereals with their new drills.
Great first day out with my new, first in the UK, Mzuri protil sowing cover crop into last year's cover for a customer. Thanks to Wojciech for helping set up the drill & Mark from @mydirectdriller for making the trip to record it all. It made a great job in testing conditions.
@benpattinson1@mydirectdriller@hattonmark40 I always try to roll after the drill. This cover had a mix of seed size and all were covered and consolidated nicely so no real need. It looks in the photo like a bigger ridge than it actually is. Also, I didn't put the harrow down because of the trash.
Direct drilled Carrington peas coming on nicely this cold spring. Its 10ish years since I last had peas, so I thought I would take the risk again (wet harvest imminent) I love growing pulses, so I hope the @claas convio can pick them up easily #whatcouldgowrong
@loosecollie Yes, Martin, it should definitely help Scotch Whisky sales, so here's hoping that uplift makes it down the chain to the barley growers. We will see!π€
π³my Craft barley for @SimpsonsMalt seems to think I best get my combine warmed up. It's on track for a July 14th Harvest. It seems early, but it was the 11th last year. Looking clean but not the thickest, we will see how it goes. Last spray and shut the gate. @NFUStweets
@loosecollie It is a beautiful farmed environment, as most of that view is managed by farmers. No other factory floor ΔΊooks that good and provides such an enormous amount of diverse habitat.
A whole morning, well spent. Prepping qthe drill for an inspection and phytosanitary certificate before it goes to its new home. Big week on the cards if all goes to plan. SASA, SGRPID and UK customs have all been really helpful and have made this learning process manageable.
During some contract barley sowing in Ancrum I managed to catch my @MNDoddie5 tractor and the fantastic looking bus in the same picture. Nice wave from one of the kids on it kept me cheerful in the sunshine.
Diablo spring barley for @SimpsonsMalt going in today. Too early? π€·ββοΈtime will tell. Nice hailstone shower tonight, which hopefully isnt an omen. Ground conditions were good and band sown fertiliser will get it of to a good start. #mzurisown@mydirectdriller@NFUStweets
Off to a good start. Beans going into barley stubble. Conditions are very good, and ground is breaking down in to a nice tilth. Front leg in 6" coulter 2.5" and only around 12L /Ha of expensive fuel. Roll & pre em next @mydirectdriller#striptill#sustainablefarming@NFUStweets
Massive thank you to Mzuri World Poland for taking us to their new factory. Huge investment in manufacturing, design, build quality and innovation. Thanks to Wojciech and Lukas for showing us around and looking after us so well. Amazing, inspiring trip. Coming to the UK soon.
