@dmdavidblog "B/C this is a con we're in a bit of a time-crunch, and I've found people often don't take the lead because they want to be polite. So maybe frame your ideas as, 'I/my character thinks we should do XYZ - should we do that or does anyone have any other ideas?'"
@dmdavidblog It's a weird sort of "politeness paralysis," isn't it! I wonder if we're butting up against an unspoken social contract. Maybe the solution is to identify the elephant in the room and suggest a work-around to all the players?
@dairydiceroller Yeah, that makes sense. DNDBeyond is great to have everything in the same place, but the content limitations...ugh. I mean, I *get* it, but at the same time...
@mrlich Yes, but I would keep it small because I think anything bigger you lose a sense of shared identity...In a big city, I think the real community extends to neighborhood.
Idk, it's a good question! Depends on what you're using these for!
"Ghost Apples" are an unusual phenomenon where freezing rain coats rotting apples before they fall, then when the apple turns mushy it eventually slips out and leaves the icy shell still hanging on the tree.
Hi new people - I regret that I don't have anything more interesting going on, but here's a cool campaign template in Notion. Notion appears to be...really super very good??)
When I improvise as a DM, I tend to imagine the most obvious and least interesting answers. That's why I like Mike's "write down 10 things" as prep for improv.
