Another example of the 'big 6' wanting to walk all over the 'smaller' clubs. The selling club can set the value, either pay it or move on. Trophies don't come into it. If Ellliot Anderson is worth more than £100m to #nffc then that's what teams will have to pay. #bhafc
🚨 Garry Neville on Nottingham Forest valuing Elliot Anderson at more than £100M:
“This is what football has become. A player with zero major senior trophies being valued at £100M — for what? I feel like they’re overpaying for these modern players. Chelsea paid £115M for Caicedo, and I feel like that’s where it all started. What have these players done to deserve that amount?”
@WhatTheForkAVFC A lot of 'Big 6' clubs fans do not understand the concept of 'smaller' clubs not wanting (or needing) to sell their players - hence the need for them to pay above what they deem is market-value. We get this a lot at #bhafc 🙄.
Keep seeing ‘villa fans have taken the Rogers news well’ tweets from arsenal fans. Had one quote me ‘food chain’ (very spurs) on a tweet where i said £85m is too low, because it is.
But I must’ve missed the official announcement?! 😂.. Absolutely none of us are saying it’s impossible he leaves, it’s the fee we’re questioning. If he goes you pay what we want, not what you want because Unai centres the squad around him.. Not hard to understand, lads.
Neither approach is wrong, but giving a manager complete control over transfers (and more) certainly makes for a less sustainable model which just doesn't work for #bhafc. I think #THFC will have success under RDZ, but what happens when he leaves?
Spurs appear to be shifting to a transfer model of buying ready-made proven players, rather than ones with potential, under RDZ. The younger players won't get as many minutes, hence them looking for moves. We are seeing why RDZ & Bloom didnt see eye-to-eye on transfers. #bhafc
@Footballtweet "That opportunity might never come around in your life" - the same can be said for witnessing your first-born coming into the world, but replace might with will. Totally with Doku on this. Crazy he's getting heat for this.
@Canyouhearthed1@2rk_bhafc@rupertmiller That's our model, so yes. It works for us and him. He needs to prove himself while playing for us and if he does that over a couple of seasons we will benefit on the pitch, and its likely he'll get a move to a bigger club which we will profit from.
@Canyouhearthed1@rupertmiller He will play regularly for us in the league and Europe. Whether Europe becomes regular for us remains to be seen but we are hopeful.
@archiethfc31@rupertmiller My point is there aren't many clubs who can offer a comparable deal which works financially for the club and player whilst offering an attractive pathway for the player's immediate development.
@Brightonian_ "Towering, right-footed central defender known for his strong aerial presence, tactical discipline, & exceptional passing range. He frequently utilizes long balls to launch attacks and relies on his imposing stature to clear danger and win physical duels." - similarities to Dunk
@BrightonBuzzz@BrancoInsider Am I missing something here? He's quality, I would keep him - surely he'll play more this year unless we have a big incoming signing planned.

@Luke_Seychell Van Hecke is a bit of an outlier in the big fees we've received as his contract was low. The reason most of them have inflated so high is because we don't want or need to sell any of them, so if someone wants to prise them away from us, they have to pay well over market value.
@Luke_Seychell RDZ knows him well and wanted him for the upcoming season, so that's played into our hands. Agree he's certainly got mistakes in him, but Spurs needed to keep RDZ happy and Bloom is a tough man to negotiate with.
