@DealerEvan @stoolpresidente Nope. It does have to be deliberately directed to a teammate to stop play. The “deflection” refers to the ref being allowed to call a hand pass if the player intentionally directs the puck to a teammate but it deflects off another player or object before reaching the teammate.
