(3/3) @bchesky by keeping up the listing and accepting money @Airbnb is knowingly selling stolen property and open to both civil and criminal liability. Take down the listing ASAP and update your policy to include proof of ownership and host background checks #airbnb #Airbnbscam

(2/3) One family went to #Charlotte with no place to stay. @Airbnb didn’t cover putting them up in a new place and were slow on a refund. The family filed a police report on the scammers. Meanwhile @Airbnb is still profiting on ppl squatting in my house #airbnb

@AirbnbHelp replied to my Tweet and said they would be right on it. Since then all I’ve seen is two automated emails saying a specialist is on it. In the meanwhile, the listing is still up and I have not talked to a single person!

The folks that got scammed got a refund, but spent more money on a last second booking. @Airbnb did not cover the difference. They are supposedly fining the scammers $1,000...but guess who keeps that money #FixItAirBnB #airbnb #airbnbvibes #Airbnbscams

(3/3) @vrbo accepted proof right away and took it down. @Airbnb is not calling me back and is still accepting bookings! @AirbnbHelp a week was more than enough time to fix this. @axioscharlotte have y’all seen anything like this before?

(1/3) I’m out of state at school and someone put my house in #Charlotte on @Airbnb and @vrbo without my permission. I called both LAST WEEK and @Airbnb still has not taken it down. Last night a family of 4 got scammed and was waiting outside my house

(2/3) @Airbnb has yet to refund them and won’t give the full name of the scammers (they need it to press charges). I also learned ANYONE can put your property on @Airbnb & @vrbo w/o proof for ownership, but you need to prove you own it to take it down.
