@BillAckman Sounds like we need Bill on that board! Btw there is no historical precedent spreads would widen. This has never been done so Bessents excuse on that is unproven
@Jason (btw how did you get that handle). Want to highlight Fannie and Freddie on all in? You are listening to Bill take a bunch of questions on spaces right now…could be the trade of the century…government fraud and injustice for 18 years is calling balls and strikes
“Fannie Mae ( $FNMA) and Freddie Mac ( $FMCC) shares declined 39% and 41%, respectively, year-to-date as of June 30, 2026.”
“Shares of both companies more than tripled last year as President Trump and other officials publicly and repeatedly reiterated their commitment to an eventual privatization, including statements that an offering could occur by the end of 2025.”
“The stocks have since retraced much of last year’s gains as no visible steps have been taken towards privatization and the administration has been noticeably quieter on the issue since the fall.”
“While investors are assigning a lower probability to a favorable resolution in the near-term, the per-share intrinsic values of Fannie and Freddie continue to grow as the companies recapitalize through retained earnings. We continue to believe that there is ample time remaining for the Trump administration to deliver on its promises and that the shares will be worth many times today’s prices once this occurs.” - @BillAckman

Americans don't care about Ukraine, Israel, or Iran
Most will never see those places
They care about Utah, Indiana, and Illinois
America First, remember that?
Unlimited PTO is a trap designed by HR to save the company money. When you don't have accrued days, you feel guilty taking time off, and the company doesn't have to pay you out for unused days when you quit.

Excellent take. Getting into the Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac game prior to the Berkshire Hathaway splash could make an exponential difference in profitability.
Their buy in would generate a seismic shift in market favorability toward the twins.
Perhaps they won’t get caught sucking their thumb like Mr. Buffett did.
@realDonaldTrump May 27, 2025, Trump:
"Our great mortgage agencies, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, provide a vital service to our Nation by helping hardworking Americans reach the American Dream – Home Ownership. I am working on TAKING THESE AMAZING COMPANIES PUBLIC, but I want to be clear, the U.S. Government will keep its implicit GUARANTEES, and I will stay strong in my position on overseeing them as President."
@POTUS Its time to act!
Shareholders, pensions, fireman, countryman have been harmed.
Please right the wrong!

Let's fight them in public & fight them online. We need to take control as shareholders. We need our voices to be heard. We need action.
Public companies are owned by their shareholders. Why are we under conservatorship ? @pulte@SecScottBessent
$fnma
@realDonaldTrump from 2021 letter to @RandPaul : "From the start, I would have fired former Democrat Congressman and political hack Mel Watt from his position as Director and would have ordered FHFA to release these companies from conservatorship. My Administration would have also sold the government's common stock in these companies at a huge profit and fully privatized the companies. … My Administration was denied the time it needed to fix this problem because of the unconstitutional restriction on firing Mel Watt."
But still no action?? Us long term shareholders have been harmed with no action to restore our property!
Please help us @POTUS !!
$fnma $fmcc
@miclyn411359@realDonaldTrump@pulte got angry and blocked me….the exact thing that will have to be litigated for another decade if they don’t resolve this. Embarrassed for them at this point
@MarkCalabria Mark, any view on cascading effects from this? Wouldn’t this reinforce the view of Fannie and Freddie returning to the public and reducing fees?
Combined net interest income for the GSEs came to $13.50 billion in 2Q26, up from $12.82 billion in 1Q. But here’s the thing: Since early 2022, combined net income hasn’t dipped below $11.29 billion. If there is a trend, it’s modest and mostly upward. https://t.co/bDkka1BTNv
What I would like to see from $FNMA $FMCC shareholders is a more collective effort to get our cause in front of this administration.
Can I get a comment from anyone who is a shareholder. We need to find a way to get behind content, amplify content, and identify who these shareholders are. I would like to connect with all of you.
