I really like the @AbstractChain platform, especially its concept of a single portal. I especially liked that the team allowed its gold-tier members to stream at an amateur level. Thus, at least develop the streaming direction, which is currently in a steep decline on the Abstract. But after two weeks, please-turn-your-camera-on guy blocked my streaming profile on Abstract.

The recent “stream quality policing” on Abstract is doing more harm than good.

A single team member blocking creators, demanding cameras, and enforcing arbitrary rules is NOT how you grow an ecosystem — especially one that’s already struggling to attract users.

No modern streaming platform in 2025 forces people to show their faces.

And doing this inside a crypto / Web3 ecosystem is even more absurd.

Anonymity, privacy, permissionless participation — these are fundamentals of crypto

You can’t preach decentralization and then punish creators for choosing to stay anonymous

This is completely against the culture of Web3 and the values that brought people here in the first place.

If Abstract wants real impact, it needs aggressive marketing, creator support, incentives, and an open, competitive environment, not gatekeeping and ultimatums.
Creators should be empowered to build in their own style - not pressured into a TV-style, centralized standard.

This approach damages trust, kills motivation, and drives new streamers away.

@AbstractChain can do better. But definitely not like this
