Balmy night in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia for Selangor v Kelantan The Real Warriors. Ticket was 29 ringgits (£5.34) and after navigating the cashless system at MBPJ Stadium I was able to get an iced tea and some sardine pastries. Englishman Zach Clough on the bench for Selangor

Under lights at the Mini Stadium in Soufriere, St Lucia, for Faith United v Bays FC. Free entry, Johnny cakes and fish cakes were washed down with beers that cost 5 East Caribbean Dollars. Particularly enjoyed the dog that kept coming on the pitch. 🇱🇨

Joy unconfined as the ref finally blows the final whistle after seven nail-biting minutes of stoppage time. A really nice touch was the large number of Sammarinese school children who were here to see the historic moment.

At Seoul World Cup Stadium for FC Seoul v Ulsan. Former Man Utd man Jesse Lingard adorns the big banner outside the stadium but he’s not in the match-day squad. Ticket was 22,000 won (£13), same as the baseball. Two frankfurters and a large Cass beer on the menu. Very humid day

Beautiful evening at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul for LG Twins versus Doosan Bears. Ticket only £13 and an atmosphere that puts many Premier League matches to shame. The chilli dog was pretty good too.

0-0 after 90 minutes. Cries of ‘shame’ and ‘clowns’ from the Aviced fans towards the Vargas Torres team after a second half of astonishing timewasting from the visitors. Nevertheless, the team from the coast have got what they wanted: a penalty shootout.
