@Tablesalt13 No, don't stick with Google or Apple, stick with companies like Proton, where you control the keys. If they could break the encryption they will, Proton can't, they use PGP the gold standard.

@privacylawyer @signalapp The funny thing is C22 is useless if you run a secure stack. Use OpenBSD or Qubes, run a secure VPN. Use internationally protected encrypted communication, and force PGP with email. C22 only works if companies play along, and enough have said they won't, like Proton.

@nationalpost They can only backdoor what companies let them. Stick with companies who refuse, who are outside Canada, and who implement client side security, such as Proton. Run a secure and open OS, such as OpenBSD, and always run a multi hop VPN.

@Proton_Pass D, although C is terrible. A and B are to short, you want 64 characters at a minimum, so really they all suck, but D is the worst, with C a close second, or tie.
