I'm a big fan of Porsche 911 so I designed this car showroom 3D site featuring the legendary 964 with @PeachWorlds_ . I keep seeing these amazing cool car website concepts on Dribbble, but they’re almost always renders made in After Effects. Here’s a real-time interactive 3D site!

- Simple: Made in 30 minutes!

- Performance: Always optimise your files. This reduces loading time and allows it to run on lower-end devices. Compressed to 3.6MB (requiring only 18MB of VRAM).

- Reflections: Adding the Water element set to 0 flow. It creates a static mirror-like surface giving it the showroom vibe. HDR for metallic/glass reflections.

- Backdrop: it’s a simple cylinder with a single gradient texture applied.

- Lights: Spotlights positioned inside the car's headlights. I gave tail lights an emissive red material with Bloom post-processing enabled to give it the glowing effect.

- Sound: music and SFX for ambience. It's such an important aspect of immersion, often neglected.

Why limit ourselves with a flat canvas if we can design a site inside an infinite 3D scene:
- Simplicity: 20 minutes of work
- Scroll Animation: the ball is animated with only 2 keyframes and Ease Out easing. The camera follows the ball
- Materials: There’s a video texture (emission map) on the ball. The main colour is animated with keyframes to go from black into white revealing the video texture
- Reflection: added the Water element at the very bottom for instant reflection of the scene
