The Giants drew over 76,000 for the 2-game midweek series against Oakland. That shows that this Bay rivalry is alive and well, and that it’s clearly time for Fisher and Kaval to sell the A’s to someone that will keep the club here. Vegas can steal someone else’s team.
@daKingfish_ @linusalf The Giants are a big part of why the A’s are leaving. Had it not been for the A’s the Giants would be in Tampa right now. I will never root for the Giants.
Reminder: Giants had a signed & sealed deal to move to St Petersburg/Tampa, but MLB owners stepped in, nixed the deal, then forced Giants’ owner Bob Lurie to sell the team to a local group for a lower price & keep team in SF. The owners could do the same with A’s. If they care.
This review nails it. Comparisons to everyone from the Grateful Dead to Frank Zappa to Metallica to Steely Dan to Taylor Swift (!!) gets to the heart of it. Review: King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard at Salt Shed: Strange days https://t.co/zHgORSWYhu
This was a tremendous moment from last night’s special session on the A’s ballpark vote. Former A’s exec Steve Pastorino goes scorched earth on the organization’s incompetence. Careful what you vote for Vegas.
Oakland A’s fans, via a crowd-funding effort, plan to make and distribute thousands of T-shirts urging owner John Fisher to sell the team as part of a “reverse boycott” scheduled for the June 13 home game. https://t.co/OapvVTJwxT
The A’s out-of-town billionaire owner is getting free land on the strip to build a tiny stadium and still needs public funds to do it. That’s an un-popular message in any state.

@liledawgy If you get to the point where you walk into your favorite burrito shop and they know your order, you can tell your friends and family you are probably never going to leave.
Fun fact: President Jimmy Carter secured permission for the rock band The Grateful Dead to play in front of The Great Pyramids in Giza Egypt in 1978
