🚀📱 IICA launched the fifth edition of Digital Agriculture Week, the region’s leading platform for advancing the digital transformation of agrifood systems in the Americas, and opened the call for AgTech startups interested in participating. 🤔 Are you one of them?
🌎 Startups originating in countries of the Americas with digital solutions at technology readiness level (TRL) 6 or higher are eligible to apply.
🌱 In this edition, priority will be given to startups with solutions aimed at increasing productivity and competitiveness, improving natural resource management and farmers’ resilience; shortening and enhancing transparency in value chains; facilitating technical assistance and rural extension; and strengthening risk management, as well as food safety and quality.

A shared path to strengthen regional agriculture. 🌎🌱
🤝 Muhammad Ibrahim, Director General of IICA, met with David Martínez, Executive Secretary of the Central American Agricultural Council (CAC).
✅ Both agreed to advance a joint agenda that includes key issues such as insurance, guarantee funds, and financing for the Mesoamerican agricultural sector.
👉 Also addressed in the meeting were the issues caused by the El Niño phenomenon in the region, and the need to build tools that facilitate decision-making.
👉 In addition, Martínez invited Ibrahim to participate in strategic meetings that the CAC is set to hold in the coming weeks.
🙌 Martínez’s visit to meet with the IICA Director General also made it possible to strengthen institutional ties and underscore the importance of joint support and a coordinated and expanded regional agenda, including issues such as agricultural health, food security, migration, and market development.
