Today I turn 88…I’ve seen some serious shit. The most serious of it all is love. I love my family, my friends, and my wonderful fans. The power of love remains.
Fucking Boss landlords 🔥🔥🔥
Plastic patriots ain’t getting a drink in the George Inn on Portsdown Hill Road 👏👏👏
But we’re keeping the streets safe, yeah they don’t give a fuck 👊👊
This is so racist and sickening.
A man stands up at JD Vance’s rally and says “release the Epstein files”.
Vance then implies that he’s an illegal immigrant, because of his skin color.
Again, I don't get this. Robert Jenrick knows how these issues resonate with the public. That's why he's been doing a whole thing on fare-dodging and shop-lifting.
GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick reacts to the WSJ report:
“We’ve gotta investigate…We’ve got to call the witnesses, got to bring them in, put them under oath, and get to the bottom of it. This is a very, very serious matter…that is likely a violation of the law”
WSJ: Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of the military-grade Starlink network used by Ukraine, according to U.S. officials and people familiar with the matter.
Trump and Musk have both expressed anger at Ukraine for attacking Russian diesel refineries, which Trump blames for high energy prices. Last week, Musk capped the connection speeds of Ukrainian devices, rendering some attack drones and interceptor drones virtually useless.
A reminder to @Helen_Whately and other politicians hell bent on cutting critical services and support, that treating welfare reform as nothing more than a cost-saving exercise has very real human consequences.
In 2010, Scottish poet Paul Reekie took his own life, aged 48.
He left no suicide note.
Instead, on his desk were two letters. One informing him that his incapacity benefit had been stopped. The other informing him that his housing benefit had been stopped.
His GP subsequently raised his death as a warning about the consequences of welfare reforms.
This is what gets lost when politicians reduce disability, illness and poverty to numbers on a spreadsheet.
We're talking about people who depend on this support to survive. People already facing enormous challenges, who are then pushed further into poverty, insecurity and desperation by decisions made in Westminster.
Of course we should all want a welfare system that works better. But reform should be about improving people's lives, providing meaningful support and addressing the reasons people need help in the first place.
That means creating genuine opportunities for those who can work, removing the barriers that prevent them from doing so, and ensuring that those who can't work have the security, dignity and support they need to live fulfilling lives.
The measure of success can't simply be how much money the Treasury saves. It must be how many lives we improve, how many opportunities we create, and what happens to the people whose support is taken away.
The human cost of getting that wrong is irreversible.

A late strike from Angel Diaz sees us through to the FA Cup First Round Proper! 🤩
Thank you for your fantastic support today!
Next up we’re at home to Gosport on Tuesday - see you there! 🫡

When I met Angela Rayner to campaign for change to overly aggressive council tax debt collection, with its unprecedented rapid escalation to balliffs, she nodded like most politicians do.
I explained it was destructive for individuals, councils and the economy. She listened more then said she'd change it. I was sceptical. Yet a consultation was launched within weeks and delightfully the change announced within 18mths (its in place from next April) - bullet train pace for politics.
I've a rule that if I campaign for a politician (of any party) to do something, and they do it, I say thank you. Its important to recognise it. So thank you so much Angela Rayner for listening and more importantly acting. The changes coming are a great start.
The President of the United States taking the piss out of a mentally ill man who died just a couple of days before.
Frankly, I expected nothing less from this sociopathic arsehole.
Why should an elderly person needing social care, or a vulnerable child needing protection, lose essential services because their council disagrees with your immigration policy?
Trump’s diesel deal with Putin makes no sense (it’s also immoral since it will fund the ailing Kremlin war machine).
The US has no need of Russian diesel. It already refines more than enough for domestic demand — with 1.5m b/d for export.
Russia has no diesel to export. Ukrainian drones have taken out a third of Russian refining capacity, turning Russia into a net importer of diesel (from India).
The volumes involved are derisory. The initial Russian offer = 2.2m barrels. The US consumes 3.5m b/d.
The price of diesel at the US pump is between $6/6.50. That won’t change before the midterms. The deal does nothing to help Trump in these elections.
But it bolsters Putin and undermines Ukraine.
Hey MAGAts, if Trump has control of the Strait of Hormuz like he claims, then why the fuck would he need to buy diesel from Vladimir Putin? Explain it like I'm Kevin Sorbo level dumb
