I've had a couple of people ask about my Dissertation, I'm currently shopping it around to peer reviewed publications but it is available in a preprint state for download on SSRN in case you're curious to get an early look at it: https://t.co/Cw21gkADwN
With the completion of my Doctoral Hooding at the 2025 Fall Commencement & PMP renewal, I now have the final version of my portfolio video. At the end are links to my videos on the 3D 360 Vuze+ and an Avionics dept. hurricane relief flight: https://t.co/jIVLlCGoyt via @YouTube
After debating where to put the new diploma, I finally settled on putting it in the media room in the front left corner near my CBJ memorabilia. The dark green matte in Ohio University colors goes well with the sea-foam green carpet and dark green sofas.
My father never got the opportunity to go to college. In one of his early jobs, he designed printed circuit boards for TV cameras used in power plants. This tie clip was his, I wore it to the Emmys in 2015 with my tux and will be wearing it today so he can be there in spirit.
Completed my recurrent training for my FAA part 107 drone certification again. I’ve had my license for 5 years and it has to be renewed every 24 months with an online course and test. May be doing some flying for the avionics group so I need to keep it current.
Finished the final format checks by the university Thesis And Dissertation department (think of the strictest English Teacher you’ve ever had). After TAD approved the format, the final version is submitted for publication & filing a with the Library of Congress copyright office.
L-to-R: Dr. Greg Kessler, Dr. Charles Linscott, Myself, Dr. Hans K. Meyer, and Dr. Jatin Srivastava after approving my Dissertation Defense today. Hans offered to take a group photo to commemorate the occasion. Graduation will be in December.

Looks like 69 students have enrolled in my “Introduction to Cybersecurity” course so far. I’m looking forward to sharing a lot of new material about recent events in the news.
Well, it's almost the start of another semester. That means it's time for a couple of minor updates to the demo reel. The final version should be in December 2025.... https://t.co/CpxrJPiRaz via @YouTube
Deploying the new standard base image on the older workstations in lab 307 for testing. We are still working on the final version with applications for this fall, but this version allows us to test the Active Directory and NFS file server functionality on the older workstations.
When I’m not in the office working on the technology refresh, I’m often revising materials for the “Intro to Cybersecurity” course I’m teaching for the third time this fall. See you in ITS 1034 / SEC 1034 every M/W/F @ 3:05-4:00pm in Bentley 129 starting 8/25/2025!
