When I got married in September 2001 my paternal grandmother vaMaDube had one serious conversation with me, she started by saying, Mhofu vakadzi vese vakangofanana, musapedze nguva yenyu muchi chaser madhirezi sevamwe venyu. My grandfather the senior Dabson married a second wife in his 40s and destroyed his marriage, my uncle married a second wife three years after his first marriage, he is now on his 6th or so marriage. As a man you can get tempted many times but the trick is to avoid miyedzo as much as possible eg if your friend riri hure, ruthlessly cut him off because birds of a feather flock together because sooner or later you will be doing the same thing.
I am blessed that I came to South Africa after my 31st birthday, I had seen a lot and I was more mature handichanyanye kuvhunduka magaro🤣🤣🤣. One day in the office, I was talking to my friend Thembi a single mother of one. Out of nowhere she says to me, Dabson why don’t you make me your second wife? I was shocked and she quickly said I was joking. To say Thembi was beautiful is an understatement. In a short 10 years she is unrecognisable, she looks like this old woman though she is almost 10 years younger than me. I always think about this when she posts her photos on Instagram.
I think for a man the temptation is more soon after marriage when the marriage goes through phases such as pregnancies, sleepless nights with the babies etc. As you become older and acquire more assets in the marriage, you are scared of losing what you have built unlike in the early years when you have very little to lose. As you go through mid life crisis you must remember that there better ways of enjoying your success and money without cheating or jeopardising your health by consuming excessive alcohol or resorting to drugs. I always remember the wise words given by Judge Willem Van Der Merwe to Jacob Zuma when he acquitted him during the rape trial around 2006, “And, if you can control your body and your sexual urges, then you are a man, my son”.
There is nothing that will chow your money like a small house even buying an expensive car that will cost you a monthly instalment of at least R20 000 won’t compare to having a side chick. Many people have destroyed their businesses, careers and families by having extra marital relationships. Look at Oliver Mtukudzi an international super star and it now comes out that his children from the first marriage suffered at the hands of the second and evil wife. Overnight many people have lost respect to all his achievements.
We learn by mistake but because we do not live long enough to make all the mistakes hence we should learn from the mistakes of others. Learn from Oliver Mtukudzi what not to do in your marriage.
God bless🙏🏿
South Africa’s new Health Minister, Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi, has criticised Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his administration and other African leaders for seeking medical treatment in other continents while failing to provide adequate healthcare at home for their citizens.
Dr. Motsoaledi used an analogy of a father who tells his children to eat next door at lunchtime, highlighting the disparity between the government's actions and their responsibilities.
During his tenure as Home Affairs Minister, Dr. Motsoaledi pointed out that seventy percent of women giving birth at South Africa’s Musina Hospital in Limpopo province were from Zimbabwe.
This situation is exacerbated by the fact that Zimbabwe’s largest hospital has only one maternity theater, which was built in 1977 by Ian Smith.
Consequently, 2,500 Zimbabwean women die each year during childbirth.
Despite the billions of dollars looted by President Mnangagwa and his associates since coming into power through a military coup supported by Britain, they have failed to build a single maternity theatre at the country’s biggest hospital, which would cost only US$37,000.
The one which is working was built by the colonial government and refurbished by Stanbic Bank after the bank realised that there was no single working maternity theatre at all at this hospital.
Dr. Motsoaledi's remarks highlight a critical issue in Zimbabwe, the stark contrast between the government’s failure to provide basic healthcare services and the luxury of its officials seeking treatment abroad.
Robert Mugabe died in Singapore, where he spent millions of taxpayer dollars on cancer treatment.
Mnangagwa went to South Africa for his treatment the last time he publicly sought healthcare, and Vice President General Constantino Chiwenga receives treatment in China, traveling on private jets funded by taxpayers.
The significant number of Zimbabwean women giving birth at Musina Hospital underscores the dire state of maternal healthcare in Zimbabwe.
The situation is further disheartening when considering the rampant corruption and disregard for the well being of the Zimbabwean people.
Dr. Motsoaledi's analogy effectively illustrates the Zimbabwean government’s failure to fulfill its duty to provide essential healthcare services for its citizens.
Unlike a neighbour without money or food, Zimbabwe actually has the money, but it has a corrupt president who is indifferent to the suffering of his citizens.
Dr. Motsoaledi spoke about a patient from Zimbabwe with stage 4 cancer, and yet Mnangagwa is not embarrassed and doesn’t care that all of Zimbabwe’s public hospitals have not had a single working cancer radiotherapy treatment machine for over three years.
When I was invited by the United Nations and the Geneva Summit for Human Rights to speak in Geneva and mentioned this, Mnangagwa’s regime threatened to imprison me for the fourth time, having already jailed me three times for exposing how Mnangagwa and his family shamelessly looted COVID-19 funds.
The million dollar question is;
With all this information that Dr. Aaron Motsoaledi has on hand, why does his political party the African National Congress support and defend Mnangagwa’s irresponsible actions that have burdened South Africa’s public hospitals?
@bmusonza Respect people in his Constituency who made a decision not select him as their preferred candidate. Tendai entered the race thru Bereka mwana and was not successful.
@freddyMM93 You don't need a Political party to express your mind. Zim allows independent candidates as well. That way you make and express your views clearly. Kana vanhu vachikuda they will vote for you.
